Don't get me wrong mate there's some players that of course would still be upto it in terms of skill, but they'd be out muscled and out ran.... They'd probably be ****ed after 30 minutes. I've actually said in some cases these days they've got less skill which has been trumped by athletic ability over 90 minutes Come to think of it they get alot of red cards too. I also really enjoy pissing @the #Cans Master off on this one..
You could turn it on it’s head and say if the modern player played in the 70’s-90’s they’d drown, because they’d be hitting the deck expecting fouls and they’d get kicked in the face for being fannies. They’d suffer dogs abuse from fans and cry before they even lace their boots, and they’d have to get into training using an Austin Metro that took 45 mins to heat up, so would inevitably end up working at the make up counter at Selfridges after a few weeks.
