beever is class and we all know he is too good for this league and the more goals he scores the more he will be watched by bigger clubs.there are not many players in the country that can control a ball like he does.viva le beever

Although I agree that Beavon has been playing out of his skin this season, it's a bit soon to talk about bigger clubs buying him. He's never been a prolific scorer in the past, so the goals he is adding to his movement, pace and industry will need to be sustained for a while longer yet. That should work in our favour.
    Great win today.

i agree the goals are what are gonna make or break him but he does have outstanding control of a football.if he scored twenty odd goals a season he would be in a lot higher division than what he is now.

from what ive heard from yesterday as well as beaver, ainsworth had a brilliant game as well, with one hartlepool fan saying he was "thier only decent player".

That's good to hear. I didn't think Ainsworth played very well against Preston or Walsall, and I was beginning to think it was one season too many for him.

    Morning all.

What a first-game-in-three-years to go back to.

I can't pretend to give each player a rating as I was far too pissed to be that clever about things, but for me Ainsworth really stuck out, he was great for the full 80-odd minutes he played. Donnelly was also excellent, he seemed to be everywhere, one minute scoring the goal next minute helping out Basey at left back, next minute wide on the right overlapping with Ainsworth - he's got a free role and it works I think.
I really get the impression he loves playing for us too.

Also want to mention lj, he won everything.

Beavon's goal WAS out of this world and he played great. I haven't seen it on the FL Show as wasn't back early enough but was right behind the goal when it went in and it was a cracker.

All of the team played well, Bully didn't have a huge amount to do but what he did do as usual, he did well. and the pen. was harsh too. Should have been 3-0.

It's comforting to know that we more than matched a team (in their own backyard) who are considered better than average quality in this division. I was well chuffed.

Word on Hartlepool's ground - nice pies, nice stadium - very small but pretty packed out, more than 5000 for agame they wouldnt class as a big match, thanks to their season ticket offers they do. Good atmosphere because of that, and v friendly too. If the WWFC board are reading this, please take note. It is NOT rocket science. We could get more than 5,000 in every game by doing something similar.

    Can't beat football away days!

Unfortunately I missed all the fun. I'm so busy outside I missed the football and the racing and I'm at it again today. So pleased for everyone. Fantastic result.

Well done you Blues and I assume you had a great day Chairboyjock.

Will pop in to read the comments after dark.
