We will be spending 30 weekends at our caravan this year...for £1250. Stuff those overpriced lodges and cottages.

Me too. I don't usually holiday in the UK as I like warm weather and sunshine. Having done it last year, it was enjoyable but not worth the money. They need to make it more attractive to us otherwise those that can, will bugger off abroad.

Just gaan for a month mate, should be cheaper than eating/drinking in this country and by the time it's time to come back everywhere will be on the green list so you can just sail right back in to your Consett slums with no questions asked:1980_boogie_down: Problem solved!!

Got a cottage booked for Wales mid July
    It’ll be like marmite
I would rather spend my money inUK at the moment
    It was £600 / week
Would even like to spend it more locally but prices were crackers

One hundred and fifteen pounds.... FOR A ****ING NIGHT?? I know it’s all relative and I’m not judging you for being able and willing to pay it Ben (enjoy)... but I think UK prices/leisure sector is ****ed up. Maybe I’m just too poor/old and tight. ****ing world.

Fair point. No guarantee that Consett will be on the green list in that timescale.
