If you had a never ending budget, like a lot of people seem to have on this show, what and where would you build your own grand design?

Would you go for a modern design or something more traditional?

ECO friendly or full of gadgets?

Glass n Concrete or bricks n timber?

Some of the houses built in the show are truely amazing and some have been disasters (like the house boat).

I'd go pretty modern, lots of windows, some magnolia paint, and a lot of polished wood.

He'd lock Kevin Mcloud in the basement too if that happened.

Eco-friendly for me. Solar panels, water conservation plumbing, eco-insulation etc.

I'd like to live the Good Life but I can't see the girlfriend milking cows!

In terms of repayment periods solar power is the single worst method of renewable energy. <ok>

Have wind mills, ground source heat pumps and a **** load of insulation instead.

All those things come under etc.!

I have a south facing property so get plenty of light so I thought solar panels would be the way to go?

Jen - there's not a lot wrong with the sharpness of my wit ( although nobody else thought of the reply - or stooped to such levels )
I ' dip ' into GC now and then as I do have other things to do other than to stalk you.:bandit:

Traditional, homely, lots of dark wood, open coal fires, splendid.

And a naked Sarah Beeny on a rug in front of the fire.

    Different show but WTF.

If I had the money I'd make sure my house had two's up and a couple going down in the sweet room. I'd definitely have a semi. That Clan McLeod bloke could bugger off though, would much rather see the bird off the other show with the ever expanding chest instead. As long as she wasn't pregnant. Altough...................:emoticon-0105-wink:
