Just watched the Liverpool game and AC never got on the pitch.

Apart from the usual " we couldn't give a f**k"", set me thinking why they bought him at all if he isn't even good enough for the biggest tests.

Because if you spend lots of money people think you're a better team.

The BBC certainly do. See French international and league and cup double winner Yohan Cabaye apparently not being as good as an ex mackem who cost 5 times his fee.

Move on from the Carroll transfer, it'll benefit you greatly <ok>

They ****ed up signing him. He was dominant for us where our style of play was central around him. Liverpool's isnt, so he is struggling more. <ok>

I don't think it's because he's ****e, although massively overpriced, I think he just doesn't fit in with their style of play. Not that I would ever take him back, but he would still work well in our team if HBA played just behind him and Cabaye played the Barton role.

So you would take him back for more than 15m?

I couldn't take him, it would just feel wrong.

So you wouldn't consider paying £15,000,000.01 (a penny more) but would pay £17,500,000 <laugh>

I have, but still puzzled by their desire to sign him.

He was 21, 10/11 goals for a promoted side in half a season. He was a talent.

Carroll will never be the same player again unless he joins a team which suits his abilities. We were that team, but Liverpool aren't, and imo they never will be.

I genuinely believe that after the £35million fee and all of that stuff, he'll end up as a fairly average 1 in 3 striker.

He's ****ed up, we've robbed the scousers and BA (on a free) will prove to be twice the player the gypsey is. Oh.... And with our club in crisis we're ahead of the bin dippers too.
Maybe we should sell our own TV rights? (cue whistle)

He has hardly played for them this season man a little bit too early to write him off dont you think?

Liverpool dont pump long balls up the field like our old style of play which suited him, but we always used to argue to people that he has more to his game than just winning things in the air and he still does, he has good feet is fairly quick for his size and can actually be very creative on his day.

Given a proper run in the side (probably when Suarez gets injured) he will excel just like he did for us IMO and people on here just want him to fail and probably dont believe it themselves.

But would you pay £35m for some one who has to wait for a run of games?
