Everton fans would have him at the end of the day because they know he's a good manager and they know they've been spunking money.

It's clear rafa will be nufc manager if arbitration is won

Oh great! You've just opened up a can of "I'm being rational" and "it's the only position to take" <laugh>

I dunno mate It's a club flip at that point. I'm personally hoping the premier league do have something to hide and that of they fail to get the cat case thrown out they'll make the deal.

On a separate note if it doesn't go through it'll be great watching the NCSL guy licking his wounds.

His soul devoid old bones will be left to wander around as the rest of the world wipes there arses on his remains.

In the BBC article on Ancelotti leaving it was clear that Moshiri wanted a big name at Everton and felt Ancellotti was that man. I think that Rafa would be regarded as a step down and with the potential for fan animosity, if he starts badly I don't think they will appoint him.

I think they may try to steal Conte from under Spurs noses with a massive salary offer and promise of funding for players.

Everton are in for a crap season whoever goes there.

They've spunked about 350 million on dross and are more than likley going to be breaking ffp I woukd imagine if they keep turning the screw? Surely they've got to be there or close to it?

I mean who've Everton really got? It's been atrocious from them when you consider where the moneys gone.

Lewin is a top striker and I think Allan is decent, but seriously wtf have they been doing?

That's the thing they're not even in Europe you've got fans thinking rafa isn't a good option.

Santo is likley, but I don't see what he's done? Got wolves promoted, spent hundreds of milllions and hid behind an injury before being politely asked to quit ... Won **** all

Conte? No way he'll go there he's an A list manager at present...

Ancelotti didn’t spend a tonne, we spent £65m during his 18 month tenure. His signings were James on a free & Allan for £22m. The other 2 who arrived were Brands signings, Godfrey & Doucoure.

As for Benitez, he’s now just a journeyman imo. He’d take the job in a heart beat I’m sure, as his family still live on Merseyside, but I doubt he’ll be our choice, not because of the Kopite connection, merely because his football is pretty ****e to watch. If we did end up with him, it’d reek of desperation imo.

Dunno, all of the names linked are proper meh. The best available is Conte, who looks like he’s going to Spurs.

No not all. It was merely a jibe to an Everton fan.

Exactly this. Fat Sam had you lot 8th, or it might of been higher.

Not just about the league position, the football would be absolutely **** under Rafa, he's also horrific to work under and signs utter dross if given enough cash.

A small pond like Ashleys Newcastle sure, but Everton are meant to have ambition.

I’m fascinated with who Everton and Wolves get because I can’t honestly see either of them improving positionally to warrant the mahoosive salary and management egos.

If Conte goes to Spurs then I could see Poch going to Everton.

The Wolves job is that Portuguese chap.

    Palace I think Howe.
