It was from Steptoe and Son.

And Albert's retort, was "What do you want for your tea?"

Well that is...how would you say...factually inaccurate, isn't it!

What he actually did was tell his 40 000 workers he could not furlough them because his Multi Million pound company that made him rich and successful couldn't afford to pay them until the wedge from the government came in to reimburse him for paying the money up front.

So 40000 low paid, zero hours workers had to go sign on and wait at least 6 weeks for benefits to pay out. Although I dare say 39999 did take a mythical Tesco job.

Nowt like a crazed righty sticking up for a cùnt who treats his workers like shìt whilst we subsidise their pish wages through tax credits and he pockets massive profits.

    Fùcking idiot.

Absolute rotters, your modern Tories. Lower than vermin.

I actually have no problem personally, with those old school Conservatives who at least had some sense of duty, decency and honour to set against their inherited privilege.

But this lot? Shower of morally bankrupt spivs and chancers with not a shred of integrity between them.

I don't have a problem with Starmer. However what I do have a problem with is the hard left. An article on Newsnight last night highlighted the attempts by the proposed new leader of UNITE to replace McClusky who has been involved no plotting to remove centrist Labour MP's. I really fail to see how they regard people such as Tom Watson as right wing. Labour's travails are still being caused by the Corbynites and until they are purged loony right wing politicians such as Tubs and co will prevail.

    Good.

And I have absolutely no time for the Tories, never have.

Labour are just a ****ing joke and have been ever since the warmonger Tony Thatcher was at the helm.

A delivery driver has been awarded £13,000 after winning a race discrimination case for anti-English slurs made against him by his boss.

Scotsman Patrick Murray started picking on Englishman David Hawksworth within weeks of him starting work for Greencore Food To Go, calling him an English bastard’ and an ‘English prick’.

    F.ucking Nigels can't take a joke!

    The thought process of the average Tory voter presumably goes thus;

"The Tories are the nasty party, and I'm a nasty vindictive little **** myself. So they get my vote."

Perhaps the printed version of the Torygraph differs from their online version.

In the online version on Tuesday there is no reference to Wetherspoon being short staffed. The only reference to that company is in the first paragraph that reads:

“The Brexit-backing boss of JD Wetherspoon has urged Boris Johnson to introduce a visa scheme for EU workers as British pubs and restaurants struggle to recruit staff in the post-pandemic labour market squeeze.”

As well as Martin, the article quoted Clive Watson of City Pub Group and Robert Cook of TGI Fridays, who both did mention staff shortages in their respective businesses and issues with getting visas for EU workers.

The headline of the online version – “Wetherspoons boss calls for more EU migration as bars and restaurants tackle staff shortage” – is misleading as it implies he was commenting with regard to his own business rather than making a general comment about how work visas should be weighted in favour of EU workers.

The headline should simply have read, "Brexit Loving Slum Pub Landlord Shoots Self in Foot"

That “Multi Million pound company” would be public limited JD Wetherspoon plc, SIC 56302; a cash generative business running public houses and bars with net assets worth £317m in 2020? The one with an operating profit in 2020 of £3.76m? So that is about £90 a head if we ignore the pre-tax profit of -£105m. He could have paid them from the £131m profit from 2019 if that had not been paid out to greedy shareholders as 12p dividends the year before – that was 7 per cent profit on revenue before the £59m tax bill.

Amazing how all the 43,000 employees suddenly seem to be on zero hours contracts when crazed Lefties cannot be bothered to check their facts. Five years ago, Wetherspoon had 24,000 employees on such terms but they were all offered contracts with fixed hours (if they wanted them); plus employees also benefit from the company bonus scheme.

Dastardly Capitalists. Why do people choose to work for them? Do they like their work? Are the hours suitable to them? Surely they should rise up and throw off their shackles, takeover the business and keep all the profits for themselves.

Tesco and the other supermarket chains were all hiring extra temporary workers during the lockdowns. Amazingly, there are more Tesco (and other chain) stores in the UK than there are Wetherspoon pubs, so it is perfectly possible that they collectively could have taken on the entire workforce. According to reporting in the Telegraph, British supermarkets hired 130,000 more staff since the pandemic was declared whilst 350,000 hospitality jobs were lost. Many of those 350,000 went back to the EU.

Blame Ed Miliband. Neil Kinnock and Co. spent a generation weeding the Marxists, Trots and Militants out of the Labour Party and then Ed let them all back in for £3 a head. It is dead easy to spot the hard Left these days - they have a Labour Party membership card. They elected lifetime loser Jeremy Corbyn as their leader and nobody believed his promises of everything for free paid for by taxing the top five per cent so they got wiped out in the 2019 election.
