I'm just wondering if any believers on here would like to define what God they believe in and what evidence they have that's lead them to conclude that this God exists? I'm just interested because I cannot find one reason or bit of evidence that is sufficient for me to believe in any of the gods people claim exist. No offence intended just a discussion please
Is that a diest or something? I mean I can believe in perhaps an argument that life was created, but I still need some evidence for that personally.
How do you know that? It seems like an argument from ignorance that's all. Surely the number of possibles is almost endless
Unless you have proof of there being that something though, doesn't that just make it another "man-made god", and therefore you can't believe in it. Haven't all religions started by someone saying I believe in a higher power and you should all join me in that belief? Maybe the only difference between Christianity and your belief is that you aren't very good at convincing people (which must be a bit frustrating as you are a teacher) and you haven't put enough thought into developing the concept. If you can put together a 300 page book with your ideas and rules etc and then tour round the country trying to gather more believers I might consider giving up my current religion and practicing Peacockism.
With @Sheikh_of_Araby and @Geordieginola as his disciples and @jimileysbaldhead as Doubting Thomas. You would be St Flip-Flop, the patron saint of uncertainty.
