Twitter rumours New Manager going to be announced today. Looks like Conte or Conte if you discount Poch.
This guy is either going to end up being chased off Twitter or rocketing to 100k based on what happens in the next few hours Meanwhile Fabrizio Romano reckons we’ve approached Conte and the former Juve DoF he worked with during his time at the club which makes sense in so far as we should be looking to get a different steer on the football administration side of things, as well as a new coach/manager. Basically nobody knows what’s going on but someone’s ending up with egg on his face. I just hope it’s not Levy when all the dust settles.
Would prefer Conte to Pochettino... at least his syrup would be entertaining when the football's crap
@Dier Hard will be proud to hear me say that “the source” is full of **** and will be proven so this evening. as for Conte, great manager but I do feel it’ll be Mourinho all over again. Not because he’s past it, but because he won’t get the backing he’s probably expecting. He’ll “inter” is in a year.
How many of Levy's appointments have resigned due to lack of backing? Perhaps he is totally honest with those he appoints.
I’ll be really happy with Conte though, the downer is that he is ex-Chelsea (AGAIN!!!) but he’s in his prime as a manager and so providing he’s backed and he/ Paratici gets the dross out the door and buys well I’d be quite optimistic of our (likely short lol) future under him.
Like you say it’s all about Levy. One assumes that if Conte and the DoF (or indeed any manager) joins then they’re happy with the assurances Levy has made about the resources available to them to transform the squad. It’s then down to him to follow through on it.
Indeed. And unless they are happy with what Levy has assured them, then they shouldn't be taking the job.
I think of all the managers we've been linked to, he's the only one of the caliber who might convince Kane to stay. Perhaps Maureen's only positive contribution to the club was that his arrival led to Kane knuckling down for one more swing at success - the player said as much in various interviews. As close as they are personally, I don't think Kane would stay for Poch.
As so he should! Which manager is going to take on the job knowing that Kane is going somewhere else?
Llorente was heavily involved in the second and third goals. The third was started by an aimless hoof from Sissoko to him, which he had no right to get anything out of. Taking off Moura or Alli would've been pointless. We needed goals. Any excuse:
The ITK gang on Twitter seem completely split on Conte/Poch. It’s a bad day for me to be busy at work
I tell you what. Lucas f*&$in Moura!! That's what! It could be argued that he has more to complain about than Kane. I will not have a bad word said about this player, ever. Would someone kindly show me where Kane snatched a victory from the jaws of almost certain defeat like this in an important match? For either club or country? Poch did Moura dirty for the final. Kane should have been a sub.
Having studied this image forensically, I can confirm that the body of water is in fact not the Walthamstow Reservoir. Which is a shame.
Ajax played as much a part in their own downfall as Poch's subs did in our unexpected victory. They had zero idea how to manage the game and how to simply shut it down from half time. Their players and ten Hag's inexperience at that level was badly exposed. The goal that started our comeback began with Danny Rose nutmegging an Ajax player deep inside our half on the left flank. That player was De Ligt, a CB who - with 35 mins to play and 3-0 at home - for some reason felt it wise to go wandering 60 yards out of position. Rose played an excellent ball forward and suddenly we had a 4 on 3 counter attack with a gaping big De Ligt size hole where the young defender should have been.
De Ligt was up for a free-kick from their left-wing, IIRC. Scored the opener that night, so it's not unreasonable for him to be there. I think that centre-halves go up for too many set-pieces, but it's not a widely held opinion.
