And replaced with...? If they can somehow smuggle that amount past FFP, imagine what they'd be like unchecked.
and do you dispute any of the above deserving a nomination? kane - golden boot KDB - always the same high level Dias - apparently the only reasn city won the lague Gundogan - a far better season for him Foden - english vote Fernandes -penalties. I would struggle to add salah there.
He was on an earlier, longer list - but doesn't seem to be on the pared down one. I don't know what process of elimination they used.
well not really since there are 64 CL clubs and no one is dumb enough to give someone a contract with that in it . Mind you we cannot be certain if RM will be in CL next season as UEFA still deciding what to do with the refuseniks .
couldn't help but laugh at this https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/57324587 as it almost suggests they think they haven't been spending big .
Foden started around 15 games. That's not enough to warrant a vote IMO. Salah has more non penalty than anyone not named Kane. There's this whole narrative that Dias has transformed City - wow, City conceded 3 less goals vs last season and they won an extra 5 points. My point isn't that those on the list aren't deserving but I think Salah is criminally underrated.
foden had a break out year. dias got the media plaudits. kane is an english hero. you cannot fight against perception easily as these things are all about it. Kane is only on the list for getting golden boot (IMO) take that away with 2 goals on last day and salah gets the nomination as spurs were awful. city won two trophies. of course their players then look great.
You're right - you cant fight perception. That's why I'm trying to figure out why Salah is under-appreciated.
Joking aside, would a manager not be able to have a break clause in a similar way to a player having a release clause that if a CL team wants to sign him, he may be able to leave for a guaranteed price?
well they could but not realistic imo because the final list of the qualifying 64 CL clubs comes very close to the start of the season for example next season final qualifying games are scheduled on 25/8/21 and the idea of any of 64 clubs triggering the release would be a nightmare . More likely is specific clubs or countries and often it makes little difference but make it smoother and more amicable anyway because nearly all managers just leave anyway if Munich , RM , Barca come calling .
Spurs talking to conte for their new manager. A) what could possibly go wrong between a really irritating manager and really bossy and arrogant CEO? B) where will spurs get the defenders to play 343 C) what is aurier smoking when he thinks psg want the likes of him.
they've got the defenders to play 3-4-3 Doherty , Rodon , Sanchez , Aldererwild (sp) , Reguilon plus Tangago , Davies and the appropriately named Dier admittedly it will be like a dog walking on its hindlegs - not very good but you are amazed they can do it at all .l
So we are thinking? Lloris Rodin alderweireld LCB Doherty holberg ndombele reguilon Rf Kane son I bet levy regrets not hocking alli when he had the chance. Mourinho reduced his value massively
I said on another thread the other day, it's worrying times for Everton if, coupled with massive spending and one of the best managers in the game, they are only making mid table. I don't know what you call the next step after worry which is where they are now. Despair and desperate times?
