"In the past five years, Kante has won the World Cup, the Champions League, the Europa League, two Premier League titles and the FA Cup. Those six trophies have been collected under five managers."
Don't know if it has been mentioned in the thread, but the referee was excellent. Don't think he got a decision wrong. A refreshing change for there to be no ifs and buts discussions after the game.
I did think Ederson was lucky to stay on the pitch. He definitely handled the ball outside the area in the run up to Havertz scoring. Not sure if it was overlooked because Chelsea still scored. Other than that possible decision, he did a good job.
I was talking to a pal of mine who'd travelled with Man City team to the match and he had a photograph of De Bruyne on the return flight and he looked fine - the broken nose fell well short of Steve Bruce disfigurement levels and the damage to his eye socket was perhaps less serious than first thought.
Well, yeah. Exactly my point. Just seems hypocritical when people single out Citeh. Chelsea did it before them and Utd were spending **** loads of money in the early 2000s. £28M for Veron in 2001, £29M for Ferdinand in 2002, £30M for Berbatov in 2008. Adjust it for inflation and it's not too far off from what City spend these days. Also, didn't you single out Bournemouth and Brentford as being clubs that had money artificially pumped into them?
That would be it then. As mentioned before, there are about 10 of the 33 man squad I've not heard of before. So, er.... who is it?
Never mi nm. It must be Mason Mount as he is the only Chelsea player in the squad. I've heard of him but wouldn't know him to look at, even if I did watch every England match, which I don't. Will be well known to PL fanboys though, I guess. He any good, or is he no Josh Magennis?
