So I’ve done today’s research and found the most useful info for everyone desperate for facts. Presumably came in via the Hymers heliport...
I never suggested there was. It's a lovely sunny day, I'm sure if you apply yourself, you can find something more constructive to do with your time that starting a pointless argument on the internet.
I’ve gone for the large cigar and some glasses of 7 year old Havana Club option I doubt you can get more constructive that that...
Nail on the head. Plus, like it or not both the Sheffield clubs are bigger then City. Painful as it is to admit, Hull City are not the pettiest girl at the party ( quote stolen from Paul Duffen). The club could show potential buyers a list of paying members around the 5,000 mark and I'm being generous there. We don't own the ground and share it with another club from a different code yet a company owned and run by the owners of the football club pick up all the costs. The capacity is stuck at 24,500 and our landlords show no appetite to sell or do anything themselves to increase the capacity Therefore potential revenue streams at the stadium are limited. The list OLM has spent all afternoon digging out tells us nothing. Only that the one group with the cash and who had actually put some on the table were kicked out by the fit and proper persons ruling. Nothing to do with the Allams or the asking price. Making an 'offer ' is only a deal if the buyer has the money in the first place and they are still waiting for an offer and to see some cash. That was the state of play before the week-end.
Good friend of mine Jim is, bloody good poet to boot. He did one about an old tart on bransholme, so funny and tragic at the e same time. I do his open mic nights and the zoom thingys. God there are some awful poets on that but a few really good ones...
A day in Pearson park with a picnic and ice cream at the little shed with my grandkids for me, more rewarding than any pointless argument ever....FACT...
Done stuff with Jim myself. I found out that the ones who thought they were 'really good poets' were usually the awful ones. Jim himself is excellent and a City diehard. His work self promoting spoken word in Hull is commendable and he does it all without any funding at all ( bet he's never mentioned that) ?
I copied and pasted it, it took less than ten seconds. Owning the ground makes **** all difference, loads of clubs are sold without owning their own ground, from Ipswich to Man City (and others that share with other sports have also sold recently). Nor will any new owner care about the numbers of members, they'll be well aware they can reverse this overnight with very little effort.
Tell you what, we are never going to agree, so take you own advice and go and enjoy the sunshine. Can you imagine if the club does sell ? We'll have **** all to argue about.
Aye. Agreed. I only went for the cigar and rum option after one of the Grandkids had gone home so I needed to cheer myself up / blot out reality...
Wouldn’t describe him as a good friend but I know him enough to chat when we see him. I’ve been to a few of his gigs here and in Edinburgh. Nice bloke from my dealings with him
Some people getting antsy, but the fact there's no news about it from anywhere is probably a good thing. The last few times we had a lot of "little whispers" from Burns and then quotes from people connected to the sales etc. If it's going on behind closed doors, then it's exactly where it should be and hopefully where it'll stay until something is announced (hopefully a sale, and not that it has fallen through). If not, well, there's not much we can do about it, is there?
So, your statement about the number of credible buyers was as accurate as your recollections of your son's favourite away match?
Ric Glasgow wrote - "So,apart from the offer in 2016,the rest carry about as much weight or credibility as me bidding for the Club..." You replied- "You mean apart from the four offers in 2016?" So why are you mentioning four offers in response to Ric's mention of credibility?
"So, apart from the offer in 2016" You replied- "You mean apart from the four offers in 2016?" I was merely pointing out that there were four offers in 2016, not one. Sad bastard.
