    If Wigan can't beat Bolton, who have been woefully sub-par this season (though I admit there are mitigating circumstances), then they're really in trouble.

    Wigan have done incredibly well to stay in the PL for as long as they have, but I think their days are numbered. The league is much stronger and more competitive than it has ever been, and they haven't moved forward.

    Which is a real shame because they're run much more sensibly than half the clubs in it (and I rate Martinez highly as a manager to boot), but they've been shedding key players - Palacios, Cattermole, Valencia and N'Zogbia in the last few years - which was always going to backfire.
