Well, someone could afford to pay over double that for our football and in the opinion of many in here he is an idiot.

Some more serious than others, but this is the story so far...

June 2016: Allam provisionally agrees to sell the club to a US consortium headed by banker Peter Grieve for around £80m, but the deal breaks down allegedly after Allam asks for more money for the Stadium Management Company.

September 2016: Allam agrees a sale price of £120m with a Chinese consortium headed by Dai Yongge. The FA block the sale after a member(s) of the consortium fails their “fit and proper owners” test. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37312166

October 2016: A Chinese consortium named ‘Greater China Professional Services Limited’ with links to former Chairman Adam Pearson claims it has agreed a conditional £130m takeover. But subsequently fails to raise the finance.
    https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...sale-speculation-130m-far-east-consortium-bid

November 2016: A US/Chinese consortium named ‘New City Capital’ headed by Chien Lee (Chairman of French club Nice) offers to buy at least 60% of the club but the Allams turn down the offer.

“We are not that close (to a sale) unfortunately because there are a few things not in our favour… Mainly the stadium is not owned by the club and some fans give the impression they are very militant. So it is not attractive at the minute for buyers, but I am definitely hopeful” – Assem Allam, November 2017

October 2018: Former Chairman Paul Duffen backed by a Saudi backed consortium enters negotiations to buy the club. Asking price is rumoured to be £45m. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45752946

Two other parties are also said to be interested including US Blockchain company SportyCo https://news.sportyco.io/2018/10/09/sportyco-backed-by-uk-us-investor-consortium-and-hull-city-supporters-trust-preparing-45-million-bid-for-hull-city-afc/

“We’re still looking for a sale. We’ve got some interested parties at the moment so we’ll keep our fingers crossed. The last three years have shown it’s not easy to sell a football club. If you look at Hull and its location, size of fan base, gate receipts, you can see why you might want to go and buy a Sheffield United or Wednesday. ” – Ehab Allam October 2019

So,apart from the offer in 2016,the rest carry about as much weight or credibility as me bidding for the Club...

Stop splitting hairs. The question a few posts back was inferring that Ehab might be kept on as a Director of Football if any sale is forthcoming. I suggested it might be a part of any deal, so people should not be shocked by it if he was because it is common practise in this sort of deal during the hand over period.
Maybe the buyers ask for it ? I don't know, you don't know even OLM doesn't know but it might just be the case ?
I put the question back to them of maybe the Allams don't want to hang around ?. But you already knew that.

Who’d have believed, 5 years ago, we’d be sitting here, 997/8 pages into a thread, still waiting 24 hours to drink chateau de chatterly?

Just resign yourselfs to the fact that there ain't going be any new owners. The Allams will not sell the golden goose for a handful of beans.

None of us on here know.
I would be incredibly surprised if a new owner would want to keep Ehab in the club, but I wouldn’t be at all surprised at all if he wanted to stay around, so it’s not impossible I suppose if it was demanded as part of any deal.
Would be a terrible decision in my view, but it’s not my millions being spent so I don’t get to choose (despite having the finances I didn’t put an offer in because I don’t want to own a football club)

If the club is sold, I don't think you'll see ehab ( in and around hull ) for dust... He has no intention of staying on and neither has Assam, although he doesn't ever want to leave Hull.

I've obviously not heard that direct from them, so how true that is I can't say, but it's come from the same people I hear the other bits of info from so I have no reason to think it's massively wide of the mark

Personally, I think a clean break is the best and only course of action that should be taken and any new owner ( if not local ) should have someone with local connections/history & understanding of the club, in a position of influence within the club

If you had offered it all at once, and not in instalments, they might have done.

So, offers which fail fit and proper persons tests and ones where the finance did not materialise are credible ones nowadays?

Two of those four offers were from current Championship club owners, so were self-evidently credible offers.
