We took the game to the team to beat in the Prem, should've won, it does feel a bit like a loss at the min. But, this time last year we were losing to Blackpool Tried to get tickets here but Jesus, Gold dust doesn't do it justice. By the end of full time in the pub (prior to be being drunk it was clear we were annoying each other) I was talking with a couple of Utd fans and you know what, they aren't all that bad . T|here is a mutual respect which brings me onto What I like is our mutual respect which seems to have come around recently (in terms of recognition or at least with the ppl i speak too) I hate Utd but your Spurs, Arsenal, Man City and Chavski have nothing on our two teams great history and this is the fixture to for the FA Prem League EVERY SEASON Enough, UTD YOU WERE LUCKY *Disclaimer You should only be reading this if you have any connection with LFC or MAN UTD. If you haven't, **** off and stop troubling me. I am a bit drunk
They were lucky. Theres proof that Alex Ferguson has connections with Rangers, He set his team up like them....with a 4-6-0 formation. This was a bigger game for United as it was for us, as Ferguson set his team up for draw and they defended for dear life. As to why Liverpool didn't get a penalty for Evans hand-ball is a joke, plus Jar Jar Binks should have walked for taking Adam down. Yes it feels like a defeat. The result was undoubtedly unfair, no way should United have got a point, as it was obviously undeserved.
I love you dude, you're great. But you know what, sometimes you just have to take what was given. This time i'm okay with that, we should have won but we didn't lose so from this time lat yr we're getting there and Utd know it Things is mate, what about their handball shout, they did have one. With KK there i'm soooooooooooooooooooo happy, he will ALWAYS do whats right for us to the point were I couldn't do it better myself We took the game, to be fair, to the best team at the min in the Premier
If you think that the formation was 6-4-0 then you obviously have not the brain power to converse with.
It was 4-6-0. You lot had 4 FOUR centre-halves on the pitch at once, Evans, Smalling, Jones and Camelhead.
What he is saying (Elpistoleros magic feet) is absolutely true We don't play liKe Stoke, we play good football, as do you You're the best team at the minute (Gerrard even said post match Elpistoleros magic feet) but you know we're sorting ourselves out and rising again Utd fans
One of our centre backs that was at times the player most furthest up the pitch? Plenty of half chances for both teams, it took the game to open up for Liverpool to create meaninful chances which showed that our tactics, while didn't lend themselves to the most attacking display before Gerrard's goal was working in stopping Liverpool creating chances. The fact is that if Arsenal or Chelsea had set up something similar when they came to OT this season, they could have taken a point (bit of wishful thinking on Arsenal's part but certainly the case for Chelsea).
nah DR is being laid back and chilled. Even so he's talking sense. Apart from Spurs we are so much better than last year and proving that we are on our way back - to the top - TO THE VERY TOP
Liverpool did well today. But then even when you were **** in Houllier's latter years, in 09/10 and the first half of last season you were still competing with us and we never outright hammered you, especially not at Anfield. It's a bit like in the 70s and 80s when Utd were poor and Liverpool were winning all - we still played well in the derbies out of pride and the elevated importance of these games in light of the fact we weren't winning much else. It's been said before, and I don't subscribe to the "cup final" cliche, but over the last few years the Utd - Liverpool match has mean more to Liverpool than Utd, and the performances have reflected it. Even the team selection reflected it today - Liverpool had a full strength side out, whilst we were resting at least four first choice players for the trip to Romania on Tuesday and the really big game against City next weekend. And as I have said before, and stand by, the quality of Liverpool as a side is never judged on how they play against Utd. It's how they play against teams they should be beating, like Stoke and Sunderland, that is key. Your performances and results against Norwich, West Brom and Swansea in the next three games will say much more about how far you have developed (or stagnated) under Dalglish.
Man United best attacking side in the league....give me a break, only at home, and away against sides the standard of Bolton. Ferguson before kick-off settled for a point. It was so obvious with his negative formation. Also lickle Wayne didn't play because he has ''personal problems''. Not that his old man being a crinimal constitutes a ''personal problem''.
damn us with faint praise why don't you. Swarbs, go away and masturbate your dented ego elsewhere. Ferguson knew that he was likely to lose if he played his normal selection and he was right. When he did bring on more attacking players, you got a goal but were then comprehensively pushed back and should have lost (if it was not for your goalie). BTW City are 3-1 up
Lol dave, don't take it so personally And I wasn't really giving any praise at all. Liverpool played better than us, but then that's exactly what they did at Anfield last season and the season before, and you arguably played better against stronger teams in both those games. So how does that indicate any progress at all? But like you're always so fond of saying, that's just my opinion. Feel free to disagree if you want. Besides which, if SAF knew he was likely to lose playing his normal formation and players, and thus selected different players and a different formation to get a draw, doesn't that make him a tactical genius?
