What the hell are you going on about...what you've just said there is absolutely nothing to do with the post I replied to! It's a completely different and nothing to do with whether or not an older player can improve.
What are YOU on about? I said players generally don't get any better once they hit a certain age. All of the best players who maintained consistency throughout their 30s, like Ibra, Ronaldo, Rooney etc. were already great players in their mid-20s. In the case of Smallwood and Eaves, they peaked in the mid-20s and still weren't good enough for the Championship, so they won't be good enough in their 30s.
For what it's worth, I think Smallwood's best assets now are his experience and leadership qualities, rather than his skills as a footballer. I'd keep him for the rest of his contract based on that but if he wants to play more and drop back down for another season in League One with someone like Ipswich, fair enough.
So the player with over 200 games played in the championship out of his career total of 308 can’t play in the championship? Arf
That's not what you said at all, you said there's an expiration date for when players can improve. Which is absolute bollox. Then started going on about something totally different when I questioned you about it... Simple fact whether you like it or not, is that players can do and will continue to improve if they want to, no matter their age or stage of Career Let's look no further then ashbe and Dawson as examples form our very own club. Being past their peak and being more susceptible to injury fatigue etc has absolutely **** all to do with whether they can still improve or not as a player. They adapt to those changes and become different players hense IMPROVING there all round game.
He had a bit part role during his entire time at Boro. He had three 'full' seasons at Rotherham where he played a lot of games but they finished 21st in two of them and were relegated in his last season with them. He played every game for Blackburn in League One but gradually became less important in the Championship. He can play at Championship level, but he's not good enough for a team hoping to really compete at Championship level.
Ah ok so we can’t sign anyone from a bottom what six?in the championship as they aren’t good enough We can’t obviously sign anyone who didn’t get promoted from league 1 Kante it is then Fuxking allams greedy ****s
https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/rickie-lambert-liverpool-transfer-regret-24041839 “My first pre-season, this is one of the biggest mistakes I ever made," Lambert told the Straight From the Off podcast. "[Brendan] Rodgers gave me, Stevie [Gerrard] and the lads at England, I think it was five weeks off, so we would come back a lot later than everyone else. "But I went on holiday with the missus and kids, and then I went back, because I wanted to be in the best shape possible playing for Liverpool. “So I literally had two weeks off and then came back with the first group at Liverpool. And that was a massive mistake. Pretty early on I was thinking ‘f***ing hell’. I could feel it in my legs. I needed the break. It was a stupid mistake. “I was 32 as well. The year before at Southampton I could start to feel a slight difference, my little yard of pace. Then at Liverpool I just felt leggy, I just didn’t have the energy and the attitude that I was in."
He only got signed by Liverpool off the back of what he did at Southampton and he was 27 when he signed for them.
Who was that winger we had on loan from Everton season before in the championship? Talented but very frustrating Name escapes me What’s he doing now?
Bowler had potential and pace, but he just didn't have the end product. I am surprised Everton didn't loan him out again last season. He will get offered a deal at Championship team as long as his contract demands aren't outrageous.
