442 or 451 on Sunday?

How ****ty would you feel if you were Obertan and Pardew said that to you? Nothing to do with tactics, just " I want to try Marv even though you have been playing quite well". Same team for me except Santon for Raylor. I don't know how good Santon is but I saw him handle Ronaldo, so he must be very good at defending, especially against tricky wingers.

 

There's no need to experiment with a team that's playing effectively, especially in the case of dropping a huge confidence player in Obertan for no real reason.

 

I might be wrong, but I don't recall Best ever scoring a header and Ba is as good on the deck as he is in the air. They've scored seven goals this season and I don't think any have come from Obertan on the right. Obertan was lazy last game and it's starting to get on my nerves a bit, Ben Arfa is probably our best player and should really be in the side. I don't think either of the three (HBA, Obertan and Marveaux) will help Simpson out much, but I think Ben Arfa will probably be more disciplined than the other two.

 

It's called squad rotation and progressing as a team. It's a tough game football, and you need to fight for your place. Ober has done quite well, but his final balls have been mostly ****. We should try starting Marveaux to see if he can prove he's better than Obertan. He's shown good, promising signs.

I agree it's harsh, but i think it's also unfair on a player working hard that's not getting a chance.

If Marv doesn't start he should at least get to come on for 20-30 mins, as well as Ben Arfa.
