I have no idea who was voted player of the year/season but it can only be one of two....and for me just one.

salah - will probably be the clear favourite.

but for me, Alisson is my POTY - last 10 games he saved us at both ends - his goal still makes me chuckle. Given what the man went through, he would truly deserve it.

    It was Mo

Id say that's fair enough as without his consistent goals all season wed be in the europa or worse.

Allison deffo goal of the season.
He should be happy enough with that like <laugh>

without Alisson we don’t qualify for CL Despite mo’s goals. I’ll respectively stick to my opinion <diva>

Surely POTS is judged on overall performance and consistency rather than the significance of a handful of events - regardless of their drama?
On that basis, in a season of patchy performances from the whole team I'd say Mo has been the least inconsistent.
Alisson is doubtless the biggest hero - but that seems to me a different accolade.

Normally, you’d be right I guess. Nothing normal about this season though. All I know is that Alisson got us CL as much as Mo did....and not just because of that header. That’s not to take away anything from Mo. It’s just a view from a different Perspective, <ok>

Mo. Don't think he'll ever be my fave player, the inability to pass a ball 5 yards just bugs me but there's no doubt that's he's crucial to the team.

    Player of the year eh?

Who never stopped trying every game while others at least looked it?

Salah, robertson, fabinho, alisson, Phillips, Henderson, milner, jota, thiago

Who stayed fit? Salah, mane, wijnaldum, robertson.

    Who scored goals. Salah. Jota

Really salah did his job but he also put the effort in and kept running and trying every game. When others didnt he was the one going.

Alisson looked shaky but **** me how he got on a pitch I dont know.

    Best chance taker is Phillip's.

    Best new player is jota.

    I would say Fab
I agree Mo’s goals have been critical
But when we have lost Fab the difference was huge not to mention played in that CB role and did very well in crucial games

Don’t think anyone can argue Mo was our standout player this year. Without his goals we’d have stood no chance of europe let alone CL.

He wasn’t as his world class best, but still at a level better than most others.

The rest all played well in parts but def dropped their standards at times.

TAA and Thiago were brilliant in last 10 or so games. Robbo was his solid consistent best at start of season although then dropped off a bit.

Fab started great and was brilliant at CB early on.

Jota was flying until his injury.

Looking forward to next season with a new start for everyone. Let’s hope no euro injuries!!

Every now and again something happens to buck the trend, like Virgil being up for the Balon D'or and being passed over never for it to be likely to happen again. For that reason I'm going with Alisson.

For me, it has to be Mo, followed by Allison and then Fab.

Mo was the one who pretty much single handedly carried our attack and was consistent all the way through. This wasn't the best version of Salah we've seen but it could be the most important.

I don't think Mo was that great this season but nobody was better and he still got the goals to drag us through.
