    That’s a worrying sign.
we will struggle no doubt about it if this policy continues.
unfortunately you have to pay to a certain level to stay in the championship. Or be very very lucky
And with our man fixed on a system that can be got at very easily it’s a fuxking huge worry.

I would say we are at least 6 short now...

    Goalkeeper BU
Centre Backs Right Sided x 2
    Defensive Midfielder
    Forwards x 2

If true and Burke is about to sign for Luton, seems a bit of a step backwards rather than forward for him to be honest.

When McCann said we're close on two deals last week, didn't realize he meant the movement was out of the club.

I wonder whether the feeling is McLoughlin can step up to be a first choice centre back. He's played and did well in SPL, and hasn't had much chance with us last season. However, we still need another one, preferably with a good bit of experience at Championship level.

As none of our players live in, pick your council estate, Hull I don’t think it matters to the Luton players as they’ll be 20 miles away in some nice area

I appreciate your mentality / strategy to stay positive about City and continually challenge negativity of others. I dont always agree with you (and i dont agree with or particularly lke your manner, not that you wpuld pretend to give a flying ****). It's interesting therefore to note your negativity & comments in your post, and I can say I agree with you.

I’ll always be positive about the football. Once we’re about to start I’ll still believe in my team and say they’ll do well as it’s 11 v 11
    But
Losing a potential top player is stupid. He’s proven at a young age in the championship. He’s a better player now, he’s scoring goals and he’s a good footballer
And we’re losing him to Luton!!! Ffs
    That’s not a good strategy.

people going on about us signing slater as a positive Fffs he’ll get eaten alive in the championship he a had a couple of half decent games in a season in a position that allows you to look ok if you don’t go near the ball!! Think Harper or McKenna.
We have huge question marks against
    our first choice forward magennis
Our first choice right winger Wilks
Our first choice left winger klp
Our now first choice rcb Jones
    Our first choice lcb greaves
And our first choice centre attacking mid honeyman
Controversial I know but to do his job in the championship is a lot lot harder against better players who keep the ball better and he could end up burning out like Irvine did

    so ye I’m worried
But at least we might be signing a free agent goalie to put pressure on Ingram and take some of his minutes.... ffs

If Burke really wants out (and a move south?) probably as well to let it happen, but if we're saying we can't afford him that's a really bad sign. What calibre of player can we hope to attract if we're paying below the odds?
