George Long has swapped bench warming here for bench warming at Millwall. Maybe they have more comfortable benches?
Five Hull City Academy scholars have signed their first professional contracts with the club. Goalkeeper Harry Fisk, midfielders Louis Beckett, Oliver Green and Harry Lovick, and striker Josh Hinds have all penned one-year deals, which include a club option of a further year. Academy Manager Richard Naylor said: “This has always been a strong year group coming up through the academy and a lot of the boys have been together for a number of years now. This is an extension of that progression. “They’ve all played in the Under-23s this year and shown they’re capable of playing at that level. “Jake Leake, McCauley Snelgrove and Will Jarvis signed earlier in the season, which means eight players from one year group have been handed professional contracts. “We’ve got high hopes for them and they deserve their opportunity to try to kick on and push into the first-team squad.” The club would like to congratulate all five young players and we look forward to watching their development over the coming years.
Is it just me who reads the 10k reference as being 10k extra not total? Say he was on 15k in the Champ last time. 50% relegation clause so down to 7.5k - then maybe City don't want to pay him 17.5k next season so have been trying to reduce that. Obviously I may be completely wrong.
Robbie Brady released by burnley (sorry if it’s already posted) I’ve just read it. I can’t even remember him signing for Norwich after us ♂️
No heard much about him since he left us. I know he started very well at Burnley but just have tailed off? Was a proper talent for us and looked like he could reach the top.
I think he got a couple of fairly major injuries while playing for Ireland and they probably got a bit fed up of him not being available.
