    It's now more than four years since the useless mackems were relegated from the Premier League (21st of May, 2017). Even if they win back-to-back promotions in the next two seasons they will be out of the top league for a minimum of six seasons. Let's all hope it is much longer though!     Your crowing would carry more conviction if the ambition of your own club were somewhat higher than 17th or better. The 5th place under Pardew was the exception to the many seasons of mediocrity since Keegan was getting butt-****ed by Fergie all those years ago. Still, another low cost/ big TV money season in the Prem is more grist to Fat Mike's mill, eh?

    Still better than wallowing in League 1 though, unable to get up. I mean if you were rampaging through the lower divisions winning matches playing great footy I'd say fair enough. The PL ain't the be all and end all. But when its League 1 and Charlie Wyke, unable to even make it up through the play offs, men in bras taking the piss, playing crap football, then its a bit depressing.

    Sunderland are basically equal to ACS in terms of floppiness. They ain't been up in years.

    Actually think Lee Johnson will do alright you know, his Bristol City teams played some nice football. He did a good job there with very little money to spend.
