I have to say that after seeing Hammy take pole for the first time in over a year I was totally shocked by his body language and response in the press conference. I'm not sure what it means... Is he just that fed up with the media, is he upset with the sport or has communication broken down within the team completely. I don't know which way to take it or to think. If it were any other driver then I'd be thinking 'We wont be seeing them in that car next year'... Very odd... I miss the old Lewis!
I think we are seeing signs of him getting his mojo back. That was a spectacular lap under immense pressure.
You're not wrong there. lol. I think I need to invest in some blood pressure medication. It's not easy being a Hammy fan.
Though it would be funny if he got out, stuck two fingers up and then buggered off... But I'd prefer to see him jumping up and down.
So would I but if he wins we may see a tearful Lewis which I would love to see. It would show his heart is in it.
I hope that he was just refusing to rise to the hypocrisy of the media who have spent the last few months hyping his supposed breakdown; maybe he was just saying, "You want 'troubled'? I'll give you 'troubled'". MB and DC were both pushing the line about personal troubles all through the quail show. It has been a hard year for Lewis and for his fans; it's easy to forget that he won two grands prix in great style. Here's to a third tomorrow.
I didn't see anything wrong, in fact I was glad he was how he was, hopefully he'll concentrate on his job rather than the hoo-haa around it, Winning and doing well build confidence, not write ups in the sun, all they can do is dent confidence when it isn't going well.
There aren't many drivers who can end a dominant teams run of 20ish pole positions and trigger an article about them being brokena t the same time lol, I know what you mean though I really don't think he enjoys F1 anymore I also really hope he dominates tomorrow - he needs it.
Normally I'd think it was just some pretentious, playing-it-cool bullshit but he genuinely looked down about something. It reminded me a little of Turkey last year. He's a strange chap.
He drove at his maximum today, I just think he needs to be supported behind closed doors. He hasn't lost his interest to me.
