We know how much new money has been printed (and largely squandered) by Socialist Sunak in the last eighteen months and it is nearing £400bn. That is getting on for eight times what would normally have been added to the national debt.

Across The Pond, the Americans got rid of one economic idiot and replaced him with a man who has put his foot on the accelerator to the tune of nearly $4tn. Bidenomics is a plan that injects copious amounts of money into the wrong places with little prospect of actual economic growth being created. Economic Armageddon awaits.

This reads well for those with no savings or assets, as they get their pay cheque and spend it, so inflationary pressure pushes wages and prices up. The wealthy have assets that go up in value with inflation whilst the people in the middle get squeezed. Inflation erodes their savings so they are forced to seek riskier investments just to stand still. This is what has driven the bubble in the US stock markets.

The complacency of the big central banks such as the US Federal Reserve, the Bank of England and the European Central Bank could well turn out to be very expensive. Once inflation starts, they do not want to turn off the money supply for fear of deflation.

I see that they have sent Dominic Raab to sort out the Israeli/Arab problem. So the ceasefire will be over by Monday.

Amazingly he favours the two state solution – where they let the Jews have half the territory and they let the terrorists who want to wipe them out have the other half. Astonishing that no-one ever thought of that one before and the Israelis have never suggested it as workable.

What we should really do is send Matt Hancock to fix it. Then Dominic Cummings can recommend sacking him and go over there and sort it out himself. He can take a drive to Tel Aviv to check that those Hamas rockets raining down on him are not an optical illusion. Perhaps a quick rendition of “Jerusalem” is all that is required...

I'm surprised that this nonsense is still going on as Tony Blair was appointed the very lucrative position of Middle East peace envoy.

The guy is like a shamen of peace and spent most of his political career dropping bombs of peace and overthrowing nasty Arab types.

Does anyone have a decent MP? There are 600 odd of them, surely one or two aren't utter twats?

My mate was an MP for thirteen years. Going out with him inevitably involved peopl coming up and thanking him for something that he had done for them. I don't think that he spent a minute thinking about anything other than work. He got voted out in 2010 and left the Labour Party when The Corbster took over. One thing Dom did get right was his comment about having to choose between him and Tubs.

My best mate used to be an Olympic champion. People were always coming up to him for autographs and photos etc.

Good man he is. Might pick him up later in my new helicopter and go out for a few hours.

My best mate used to be one of a large team that translated their supporters words into English for a Labour MP.

Hope it's not raining while you wait for the bus to Monkeyhanger Job Centre + to see if Tubs has created any minimum wage jobs for his supporters.

Used to be a little firm of chaps from Hartlepool, all living in North London back in the day. They decamped en masse in the 80s. Good bunch of lads as it goes, all mental and you couldn’t understand a ****ing word any of them ever said, but never known to duck buying a round. Absolute world class pissheads to a man.
