I think the championship may be a step too far, but who knows. It'd be great for the club if they could yo-yo between the two for a few years
Jose is a natural born leader and winner, Sven Botman has stated how much he has learnt from playing beside him this season. I truly hope that Saints offer him a role here when he finally hangs up his boots, he has taken coaching courses already I believe and I think that he will be a top manager in the future. Congratulations to Lille on a great achievement.
Yesterday was a great day for me as I got to attend my local team Finn Harp's away match in Waterford...First time at a match since last Feb. Was jealous of fans here going to the Leeds match so glad I got my fix shortly after! The away team gets 10 or so tickets for officials/family members and as it's a trek across the whole country I was able to put my name down as the places weren't filled. We scored two goals in a minute late on to win 2-1 which keeps us in 5th in the Premier League in what has been our best start to a Premier season in over 20 years. Sadly it will be my last game for a long while and other fans sadly haven't been able to join in this success. It's great seeing fans back to matches in English but sadly our inept and draconian government are afraid of their shadow of opening up anything in the country. July has been mooted as having crowds back (only 5%) so chances of seeing much more football in the near future. Despite only having 100 people in hospital with Coronavirus and the vaccines flying along the powers that be insist on continuing one of the world's longest lockdowns sadly and frustratingly!
So the red card against Azpilicueta has been overturned because that low life, namely Grealish, was found to be taking a supposed near death experience, exhibited by the writhing and rolling around, a little too far. Pleased for Azpil... (whatever) but what about the low life? Does, or should anything happen to him? In my not so humble opinion, l think the red card should transferred to him.
Now this is an interesting one and one, which, I fear, may come back to haunt the FA. There’s no doubt that Grealish totally overreacted (as would most footballers, bar Patrick Bamford, god bless him) but, having watched it again, Azpilicueta (no idea if I spelt that right!) caught him with his hand which he flicked out. So ..... next season, if someone does that again (I thought “raising a hand to an opponent’s face” was an automatic red @tomw24 ?) what is a referee supposed to do?
