I think even he thinks he's an arse, but it if you can ignore his many failings, he provides a good insight into how Government actually operates.

It's **** all like most people think. It's why I laugh at people that get all partisan about a particular party, when they're all just informed by the civil service anyway. Plenty of good politicians have ended up cast to the wilderness due to be given the blame for what were civil service actions.

Pubs/restaurants opening outdoors on the 7th(our bank holiday Monday) but hotels open for residents only (2nd)so I've booked the Saturday and Sunday and make a weekend of it,God knows I could do with a break.

Hillsborough trial: Men acquitted as judge rules no case to answer
Two retired police officers and an ex-solicitor accused of altering police statements after the Hillsborough disaster have been acquitted.

Retired Ch Supt Donald Denton, retired Det Ch Insp Alan Foster and former solicitor Peter Metcalf had denied perverting the course of justice.

Mr Justice William Davis ruled they had no case to answer.
