My suppliers don't pay low wages, all my suppliers pay full holiday pay, sick pay, have fully air conditioned factories and my main knit top supplier even has a roof terrace with table tennis tables and a bar (for after work obviously). Stick to stuff you have some knowledge of.
Do they pay as much as workers would get here even on minimum wage then? There must be a reason for not supporting employment in this country.
In the 80's I used to make half my gear in the UK (Northern Ireland) and half in Hong Kong, even back then, the workers in the factory in Hong Kong earned higher wages than in the factory in Ballymena. This has absolutely nothing to do with the club ownership and I'm sure is of no interest to anyone else.
Have you spent time when you've bought items over your lifetime that they where within an acceptable level of employment rights ?
Do your contacts know if he has investments/business interests outside Turkey (apart from Fortuna Sittard)? Given that the Turkish lira has virtually halved in value in the past couple of years, his Turkish businesses must be running to stand still when measured in sterling.

To be honest, I thought twice about posting this because of what you mention. Could it be in the printed version of the HDM? I don't buy it.but there was nothing new online when I posted early this morning. I think it's a mix of news from different sources.
While doing a bit of digging I read that Acun Ilıcalı had a disagreement at his last club. He kept a close watch on the players which didn't go down well and he insisted on picking the coach. Nuff said! I think I read somewhere he was part of a consortium bidding for HCAFC but I could be wrong there.

It's a good question. And our wavers need to know that in Turkish football their wave is quite different to ours. It's sort of like a finger drawn across the throat area.

It seems a little bizarre as some reports are saying the 'first meeting was positive' and others are saying it's done. We've obviously been here before a few times and it's difficult to get excited at this stage. But from the bit I've read, he does seem like he could really add something to us and it's great that he loves football too. Hopefully it doesn't become another saga that dominates the summer, stops us bringing in players and we end up completely ****ed
