Wilson - Obviously do whatever we can to keep him. Joelinton - Sell him for whatever we can get or loan him out and see if he's any good after a season in a lower. Gayle - Must be worth £15m of any championship teams money, he's a 25 goals a season striker in that league, just not good enough for the PL. Carroll - Keep him on a pay as play deal, useful back up option in some circumstances, although if we're gonna continue to play counter attacking football, he may not be much use. We only have one reliable premier league quality striker in that. We should sell Gayle and Joelinton, and buy someone with whatever we can get from the two sales. Any ideas?
Wilson is becoming a bit injury prone so is a worry for the seasons ahead but you're right we do need some serious money spending on a quality striker or back up
T Joelinton just get rid for whatever we can get but do it now. Carroll again just get rid. Just ask yourself how many goals has he scored since he got back. Gayle, sell as well but probably too late to get any serious money for him due to age, pandemic and injuries.
Carroll release. Gayle sell for 8m to 10m if possible. Joelinton has something to offer next season in the right team. Wilson stays. Get Rondon back for a season for competition with Wilson. Keep the money for a CM pair:
Look they caught you playing the field they're not going to go back to you no matter how much you beg.
First of all Jonjo Shelvey, Jamaal Lascelles and Jeff Hendrick please log in to view this image bunch of ****in' donkeys So we need a new CB and a new midfielder, preferably a box to box midfielder who can run now and again. We need someone to replace Ritchie We need cover for Wilson We need a replacement for Willock tbh we need a new owner.
We need Hayden and Sean longstaff out too Hopeless players. Sean is so bad it's embarrassing watching him struggle... He can't try any harder
With Ben on this. Our striking options are embarrassing. Carroll is a dinosaur but less mobile, Gayle is anonymous except when he appears to miss a sitter and Joelinton would be best described by one of my sports reports from school - tries hard with limited ability. Unfortunately I think we will be lumbered with him next year as the write down on him would be too big to handle and noone is going to take him on loan on his salary. We should be trying out a few of our young players during the summer friendlies. Suspect we wont have much to spend.
Club is a black hole of information, yet they seem to be quite keen to let everyone know there's absolutely no money available! I think absolutely everything hinges on the takeover. Your summary of the players is bang on and our U23's finished stone last of the SECOND tier of reserve football. They just cant get relegated any lower. We need, desperately, an injection of around £50m. We need to get rid of at least half a dozen (but who would take them), especially Gayle and Carroll.
I think fat Mike will be seeing us finish 12th, on 45 points and decide he overspent last season. So we've got **** all. I'm not sure we would get much for Gayle and Joelinton combined - and I'm not sure we'd be better off spending the combined money on one player when we have a threadbare squad as it is. The alternative option is to sell ASM and rebuild the squad into a boring team that can reliably finish 16th-17th. Or we rely on loan players for the umpteenth season in a row. One silver lining is that benchwarmers around the country will be looking at Willock and thinking "I want to do that." Question is, who is the next Willock?
You will lose at lot of the clubs DNA if those two are shipped out and probably won't be able to improve the squad for the cash they bring in/save.
Good and nobody will care mate.. I just don't see why two crap players being shipped out is a problem
