    That ****<grr>

Similar story with cutesy country. Two lads from Roscommon sort of invented country music after moving to the wild west. They brought it home with them and it morphed back into some pseudo Irish country ****e.....explaining the proliferance of wannabe cowboys across Ireland.

He is at the forefront of a particular genre.....a **** one.

Bands like the Undertones and Stiff little fingers in the 70's brought a new rock type sound following on from bands like moving hearts and Planxty who had a trad sound with rock/pop mix. Loads of bands from the early 90's made Irish indie music a self contained industry like The Pale, A House, the 4 of us, The Sultans of Ping FC, Frank and walters and the Stunning (reformed now and sounding as good as ever). even twee sounds like the saw doctors could be said to be at the front of a youthful, vibrant Irish scene.....

And then there is yer man Bono.

    No.
By that rationale, the Scotch invented talking. And as everyone knows, you junkies can barely raise a grunt.

I always thought The Men They Couldn't Hang were vastly superior to the Pogues.
