It's on an in lap, not a qualifying lap so how would he majorly benefit from doing it? Was he just keeping out of the way of possible qualifiers behind him even if none exisitent?

McLaren trying to push their luck with rule bending again I reckon...

A fine is nothing to an F1 driver though, what a real penalty would be is a 5 place grid drop or something, but I don't think he will get one and nor should he really.

Cutting a corner on an in lap is a bit of a non story in my opnion.

I saw a joky comment on clip the apex that he should be excluded from the championship for it lol

People keep blaming this on the pit exit but Rosberg was nowhere near the racing line, he was far too late on the brakes, the speed he was going he would've been back in Japan by the time he apexed.

Ridiculous that the FIA are investigating Vettel, it wasn't on a competitive lap and didn't affect anyone else. What exactly are they going to punish him for? If they don't want people driving down there they shouldn't have a road there.

I'm always wary of McLaren's antics, their aim is to beat Red Bull however possible.

It's also likely since it would mean a McLaren 1-2, so who else would bother to bring it up?

    Past problems against RBR...

Ride height control accusation, (Bought up by, McLaren)
Flexi wing illegal accusation x3, (Bought up by, McLaren)
Overspending accusation 2010, (Again bought up by, McLaren)
Hot blown diffusser accusation, (You bet, McLaren)
Vettel's finger is illegal, (Surely will be McLaren)

He was late on the brakes but he had no idea the Toro Rosso was exiting the pits, it was unfair to penalise him IMO.

Ferrari would benefit from a grid drop too and they have a habit of whinging as well.

Whoever brought it up (I don't think the FIA would investigate without being prompted) it's pretty pathetic.

He was fined for not reporting to the Stewards not for causing the accident.

No action from stewards as no advantage was gained.

    As I thought.

No doubt there would be howling hissy fits on here if Lewis had done it.

"HE'S A CHEAT! KICK HIM OUT OF THE RACE! GIVE HIM A GRID DROP!!!!!!!111!"

I have never wanted Lewis to win a race so much, I hope he just flies off in the distance and has a nice relaxing trouble free race.

He has the pace but he is too agressive on the tyres, that is my worry.
