With the exception of KWP, Armstrong and Tella I genuinely couldn't give a ****e if we got rid of the entirety of this team, the coaching staff, the management and the owner and started afresh come August. Simply awful season. Thank christ its over
On the positive front, I thought Diallo has looked a little bit more like the player we had at the start of the season. KWP and Stu showing, once again, that they’re a cut above the others too.
How many times have we said that though. We seem to start the vast majority of games really well, can't score, then concede and play **** in the second half. It is a recurring pattern that everyone surely can see but we can't seem to fix When we were flying high somebody (probably Schad) posted the conversion rate and ours was ridiculous, way higher than anything normal so even when we were good it was a similar pattern in terms of actually creating chances, we just were converting a ridiculously high % of shots we were taking.
Perhaps this is part of a long-term plan to push WHAM into Europe next season, which will mean that they will have more fixtures to contend with. Now, if we can also engineer early exits from the League Cup and FA Cup, we can concentrate on the Premier League, and cement our rightful position in 12th.
Poor half. Poor offensively as we wasted chances and poor defending on both goals. I will be so glad when this season is over. VAR and empty stadiums has spoiled the game for me but even that aside we seem quite capable of making all the wrong decisions both on and off the pitch.
That's not the point. You said the whole season was awful which is erm.....bollocks. We were outstanding first half and crap the second.
I have a feeling you might get treated to a full season of this next time, unless there is some real squad overhaul - which doesn’t seem likely.
