Yes, sadly I am watching it Been scoring each song and my top 4 were: Bulgaria Portugal Cyprus Lithuania So many were crap and amongst those were: Russia UK Ukraine Holland Germany Probably score them all differently if I watched them again Now for the farcical results. I could nod off There will never be another ABBA The girl who sang for Bulgaria was quite good though The heavy metal groups were quite good for what they are
I guessed as much. That makes me the saddest member of the forum. Scoring started and as farcical as ever. Fed up already. I'm a masochist watching this crap. If only I could reach the bloody remote
I half saw most of the songs but by far the best song was the Portugal song. I don't understand how such a good song can go there.
I watched this in the best possible way .......... with the sound off! Just to qualify that - I was doing work on computer. I switched the sound back on when the UK's entry came on, and never having heard the song before, or the singer who can't sing I was convinced we would be last. Vindicated! Not just last but not a single vote by anyone in the whole of Europe and Australia. Absolutely shocking. I understand the British public voted for this act and song ... what the fk were they on???
Obviously tone deaf Reebs. It was embarrassing that we could enter such a crap song and then have it "sung" by someone who couldn't sing. I think he wrote it himself. That's one career path he can cross off his list
I'm afraid I'd rather cut my lawn with scissors than watch the Eurovision song "contest". Used to watch it many years ago when there were fewer entrants and it was all held on 1 evening. Now there are too many entrants, some are even located in a different hemisphere and continent
More is indeed less - seems to be the general trend in Europe. Another football club competition (The Euro Conference ) too - all about making money much like the EU - making the rich even richer.
I live in Scotland, putting an English or Union Jack up is asking for trouble from some sections of the population (btw I'm not English!)
I have to admit that, although most of the entrants were laughable/ painful and the presenting of the scoring about as cringeworthy as it could possibly get, the overall standard on the songs was well above standard. The presenting is dreadful. Repeating each other and stating the bloody obvious was really annoying. Next year I will skip the show and flip through the songs on Youtube the next day to see if there were any decent songs. Either that or record it and skip through at will after the event. Yes, that's what I will do
