Why would he go? QPR could well go down and we stay up. You never know. Now if a 'biggie' club came a calling that may be different.
Also you could well go down and QPR could stay up? As for the 'biggie club' thing? That is not always the case because it can also be about Wages and location, as been proved in recent weeks that players have left bigger clubs for location and higher wages. Saying that i think it's a load of bull and agree with what one of the earlier posters said that we will be linked with everyone until January.
And by that it seems you are implying South Wales is an inferior place to live than West London ..... patronising git! Sorry, personally I am happier here, despite the years I have lived in London and Herts. However, I admit it is lure for some (including me in my youth). Unfortunately footballers aren't known for their brains, so who can tell!
If i had meant that i would not have implied it, i would have said it. I was referring to players that have come to QPR from bigger clubs. I don’t have any problem with Swansea and tbh I have never really thought about you. You have no history with us and other than a couple of seasons are not normally in the same division. As for South Wales I can see why people live there, away from the city life full of green countryside. However if you are a young impressionable footballer that gets offered a chance of the fast city life with loads of money you can see why some take the opportunity. As you said they are not too bright.
Ellers how about John Charles a Swansea boy who was a huge player for you ? I won't mention the other players recently who came to you from us because there is really no comparison ,) Edit; Take that back, for some reason thought you were a Leeds fan lol
Yeah they are some 2 bit side playing in a lower league but John Charles was pure class , met him some years ago and he was an utter gent, to young to remember his exploits at first hand though
Ellers. My comment was not a 'load of bull' but you're entitled to an opinion I suppose. The point I was making is that for some reason players who leave us rarely go on to better things and often regret their move, particularly in recent times. Williams knows this and won't want to fall into the same trap. Regardless of the 'delights' of West London (ahem) he will never make this move imo because there is a risk QPR could be in trouble at the end of the season, maybe not. But if an established top 6 club come in for him that would be different for obvious reasons - even for you.
To be fair, we are all only here once and we need to experience life and it's diversities as much as possible. I just hope our players wait until they retire to do that as they will have plenty of time on their hands come their 30's!
