Hibs, a team I have a passing affection for, finished 3rd in the SPL and are in the Scottish Cup Final, their best season since the mid seventies.

One - nil down to St Johnstone at half time. Naturally. I’m cursed.

Other teams I take an interest in:
Hertha Berlin - avoided relegation from the Bundesliga with a good late run.
Dynamo Dresden - promoted back to the second division at the first time of asking, though to be honest the results are of secondary interest compared to the intense fans
AC Milan - 3rd in Serie A after having led to about Christmas. Very big final game tomorrow, away to Atalanta who are second. A loss or draw could let ****ing Juventus sneak into the Champions League slots if they win and Napoli at least draw, with Milan missing out. Tense.

Worst news about Brentford, a club for which I find it hard to drum up any real dislike, is that Bournemouth with their massive parachute payments stay down. Tough division, again, next season.

Robert Lewandowski has beaten Gerd Mullers single season Bundesliga goal scoring record, netting 41 this season. Well done Bobby.

He hasn’t got a hope of matching Der Bomber’s international record though. Lewandowski has a very commendable 66 goals for Poland from 118 games. Muller scored 68 for West Germany. From only 62 games, which I struggle to get my head around.

I have to say that St Johnstone have achieved a fantastic Cup double winning both the Scottish FA and League Cup in the same season. Another great achievement today at Wembley where Hornchurch from the Isthmian League have won the FA Trophy beating Hereford of the National League, great to see underdogs have their day...

Watching Real Madrid v Villarreal.... great fun.....Villarreal lead 1-0 and with athletico leading it looks like they will take the title.... Madrid goal ruled out for armpit offside.... what a hoot....

Hopefully Man Utd will underestimate Villarreal in uefa cup final..... they are a decent side and I love the fact that the whole population of Villarreal could fit inside old Trafford and they'd still be around 20,000 empty seats.....

Suarez, given to them by Barcelona because he is ‘too old’ scores the clinching goal.

Barcelona now trying to sign youthful Aguerro, same age as Suarez.

Spanish football is in trouble.

Am really pleased for Athletico to win the La Liga title ahead of Real and Barca.

So much for the ESL so called founder members.

I have a feeling after watching those play off’s that Swansea don’t seem good enough to beat Bees, but I really hope I’m wrong
