Son-in-Law just rang me. Just been interviewed by Ian Payne on ITV. He was asked what he thought, and was honest enough to say that we lost it on Wednesday. He went on to say that Johnson had asked for the fans to turn up and make a noise and they definitely did that, but when the players went on a lap of 'honour' at the end, Johnson ****ed off down the tunnel, which he thought was a disgrace. A crowd of about 40 people clapped him for pointing that out.
Embleton must be gutted. Going to get promoted with Blackpool, only to be stuck in this ****e league with us for another year!
My dear old dad spent his final days in a care home, one day my wife and I were visiting him and talking Sunderland. I can't remember what exactly about, but he ended it by saying " it's only football " How true.
If his retained list includes any of the tossers out of contract I hope KLD volleys him off the town bridge with his collection of pomo cd’s
Sincerely sorry you guys didn’t get through and win the final - have a few and drown your sorrows , see you next season
We didn't blow promotion over two games with Lincoln, we managed to balls that up during the season. While it's another season in league one, I believe it's new dawn. To 99 percent of the squad, cheers bye. We will go again next season where I believe the owner will demand promotion in style. I believe he will give the manager time. Let him spend a few quid and see what happens, but there will be an expiry date. Let's try and put the last 3 years behind us and go again. Great effort today from the fans. Done what we were asked. Also, the clap for the players at the end, for me personally I only aimed mine at a handful, namely Wyke. He played his part with goals and what more can you ask of an old fashioned centre forward.

Why Did we take control and score the two goals and looked comfortable Then god knows what he told them at half time
100% imo. I think he did well to get us to 4th, and get 30 goals out of Wyke. Injuries crippled a 'decent' but not outstanding squad.
