Struggle to see us getting anything from this one either. We have a terrible record at the taxpayers stadium, not a great record against West Ham in general and we have nothing to play for (and as LTL says, players may be looking to protect themselves ahead of the Euros), plus West Ham do have something to play for. Win or draw and they guarentee 6th place and European football next season. Just want to get this over with really and wipe that slate clean for what needs to be a big summer for us (though I'm sure I say that at ahead of every new season ).
That's exactly my view too, shrug of the shoulders if we lose, have a really good cheer if we win and give thanks for a draw. As long as they all show up, that's all I'm asking for for this match.
On the OS, a (very brief) match preview includes the statement that: "Bringing a close to the 2020/21 season, a win could see Ralph Hasenhüttl's side climb up to 14th in the table, depending on results elsewhere." I checked, and we're already 14th. We could move up to 12th, or down to 16th, depending on our result, and other results. Maybe the club are preparing to celebrate our unstoppable rise to be nearly at the top of the bottom half of the table.
I think you'll find we are battling to be at the top of the mini-league near the top half of the bottom half of the table Worse case we could end up 2nd bottom of the mini-league near the top half of the bottom half of the table How exciting could it be?
Live on Sky according to the OS, at least someone understands the importance of the race for 12th place.
I've just realised, that if Fulham don't win on Sunday, we were safe on Jan 4th. Now I won't say I told you so to the gloom mongers. But I told you so. And guess what? I have had nearly 5 months of being calm and in tune with the universe, whilst some have lost their **** over relegation. It's nice to be positive sometimes. And smug
Nah that incredible Fulham side will be overtaking us any week now It'll be brilliant if they don't win and that stat comes to pass. I might even bump the thread @----HistoryRepeating----
Hoping you're at the beach and roll-over for us and we win by a 3 goal margin so we beat our prem points and GD record. A Lingard goal and a brace from Bowen would be nice, then we'd have 4 players with double figures in the league. Antonio becoming our prem top scorer would be a good reward for him as well, so Ings can have a consolation goal if you like. 4-1 west ham.
You’re very likely to win this. Ings will have one eye on his flip flops and one eye on his next move. Ah Antonio, I remember when he was a saint.
