40th anniversary of Ian Curtis' suicide this week. RIP

 

My mate and his son, because of his son, always go to the grave/memorial on the anniversary at Macclesfield crematorium.

 

Always thought this was underrated.
Granted it is soaked in pure nostalgia personally, taking me back to my teens in 1998.

 

This isn't a bad live version aswell.....

I remember watching the world Cup, France 1998, the day after my birthday we played Colombia in a must win. Anderton scored then Beckham scored his free kick. Won 2-0. Match of the day played Lucky Man during the end credits, loved the song ever since.

 

Bring back those years, I was 16 in 98. Happy days I think the biggest thing was waiting for Be Here Now to be released

 

Another good one from that year.

 

Technically this is music so it counts, but this bring back any memories for anyone?

 

class. I remember them using this on a program about young English players getting built up to be knocked down by the media. Beckham, Owen, Smith etc.

 

I quite like England's Irie around that time...
