There is this contrary view it's a no then The tweet was Collymore saying Nuno was coming to us, but even he has deleted it now
He lost sight of the fact that he's paid £3m a year to be the Chairman of a Premier League football club, one of the ten richest in the world... That is terribly remiss of him.
Ive read up about Rangnick...got the credentials I would look for when appointing a DoF...I’m guessing Hitchen has got **** all credentials in comparison yet here he is calling shots.
Hitchen will back Levy, no matter what.....the only qualification required by our Chairman. please log in to view this image
Wiki claims he had some involvement in the Modric and Ekotto deals, whilst also Suarez's move to Pool as he followed Commoli there, but he returned here as chief scout in 2017 and is now more or less our DoF in so many words. So since 2017, here's the first team players we've signed: Sanchez Gazzaniga Foyth Aurier Llorente Moura Clarke Ndombele Lo Celso Sessegnon Bergwijn Gedson (loan) Hojbjerg Doherty Hart Reguilon Bale (loan) Vinicius (loan) Rodon That's not to say he's been responsible for every signing, as we know Poch/ Levy/ Jose had some picks but seeing as he's head guru of transfers, it's an appalling success rate.
Nuno Espirito Santo is leaving Wolves at the end of the season Suddenly this seems more tempting please log in to view this image
An interview with Potter just got released on The Coaches Voice. Unfortunately I think it’s behind a paywall but WindyCOYS has a nice summary on a Twitter thread here:
Just read it. I was a big doubter before. Now I'm a firm believer. He's the guy we NEED. Total opposite to Mourinho. Emotional Intelligence?!? Yes please!!! May even talk a few players off of the ledge. Plus, him being English may even win us some support from the usual media cohort. LEVY! SORT IT OUT! (I don't believe it'll happen though. I think we'll probably get Nuno.)
I usually find Windy quite tedious but that’s an interesting read. Coaches Voice YouTube channel is generally a good watch. I like the manager ones where they speak of tactics in a particular game.
They’ve got another one from a few months back with Potter on their YouTube actually. Might watch it in a bit. If anyone’s interested:
Herr Flick is close to agreeing a deal to take over as manager of Germany after the European Championship I can hear the sound of Levy scraping the barrel very soon
No, no, no.......no..........no. There's a plan................... ............................it's just that we'll appoint the first bloke who doesn't tell Levy to **** off - Welcome Frank Lampard!
I'm trying to work out why anyone linked us with Flick in the first place It was an open secret he was top of the DFB's list to replace Joachim Low after the Euros, yet in the last 2-3 weeks he was linked with not only us but a couple of other high profile job openings (I want to say one of them was in Serie A, so either Juve or Milan)
If the choice is Potter or Nuno then I’m all for giving Potter a chance. Nuno would be massively underwhelming. Nice guy but I don’t see anything about him that would make me think he can take the club onto trophies or back into the CL
Alastair Gold has said that we've no interest in Nuno Espirito Santo, for what that's worth. He's done well with Wolves, though. He'll have no problem walking into another decent job. Not right for us, but a decent coach.
I have just been reminded of this social media post from 4 years ago today - it seems a long time ago and to see where we are now is really quite sad 'So we find ourselves at the end of the premier league season and what a season its been. Firstly you have to congratulate Chelsea on a brilliant season worthy champions no question. But Tottenham have a had great season too. I know the bitters will say we still didn't win anything but we pushed Chelsea harder than anyone else and 12 wins in their last 13 are evidence of that. Scored the most conceded the fewest and of course the one season wonder won another golden boot. I recall that when Spurs had a reputation for being a cup side we were always told that anyone can win the cup its only about winning 6 matches the mark of a good a team is consistent league form. Well I don't think anyone can deny that Spurs have that now and they are now a very good team'
