I was already well aware of the child sex in both bible and Quran but not in judaism. Im not surprised if its true as it seemed the norm back then. What it does is strengthen my opinion that all religions were formed in order to control populations. Making a religion that allows for baby girls to be raped says to me that this cult was set in motion by a sick twat. Just to correct one thing one this thread when Israel was created in 1948 the Arabs began a campaign of terror against the new Israeli settlers and tanks from surrounding Arab nations moved in in an attempt to drive them out. There were at least 2 further Arab attempts to invade Israel (1967 and 1973 if my memory serves me correct) which were also repulsed. Whilst people want to (rightly) criticise the Israeli treatment of Palestiniansit must be remembered that this problem came about due to Britain making good on its promise to create a Jewish homeland after WW2. In order to make good on that we had to evict the then residents. It should also be pointed out that whilst there has been hatred expressed by some Muslims towards Israel and the Jews (the Iranian PM has said he wants to send the Jews back to where they came from - it could be said that on the basis of history that's been achieved already) we should not ignore what Christianity has done to the Jews - Richard I throwing them out of England, The Spanish Inquisition and from more recent times the Nazis (who thought they were doing God's work with the Holocaust). Not only that it was only in the last 20 years or so that the Vatican has forgiven the Jews for the crucifixion of Jesus, even though it was Pontius Pilate who allowed that to happen.
I cant remember where I read it but the bible has omited pages that do state that children as young as 3 engaged in sexual acts. the Quran is well known For the jewish book I dont know, I always thought it was just the old test they used. Child sex should be a good enough reason to make religion illegal tbh.

Yep. While I have questioned muslims actions towards jews for 1900 years christians gave jews a hell of a time. It was almost an unwritten law that jews were to be persecuted for the crime of killing the messiah. Muslims though since the very earliest days have hated jews just as much. Muhammed needed the jews to accept him or he needed to get rid of them. They refused to accept him and still do to this day. Jews regard muhammed as nobody, he wasnt a prophet but a con artist. Muhammed killed 100s in the early days of islam or forced them to leave arabia and sell everything they owned.
You seem a sensible guy. I cant criticise your belief in god as I have said many times before, god can mean anything to anyone really and doesnt need an organised, disgusting religious order to believe in him. You see religion in large parts for what it is but still have your faith. Its better than many believers who are totally blind to the obvious bullshit in their religions.
It's always a good idea to keep an open mind. Organised religions are man made and they quickly lose sight of what it really means to have faith and believe in God. Just take the Catholic Church as an example, how many things have they made up (like the Trinity) to try and explain the in-explainable (not sure if that's the right word).
As I said above, it is only the Koran/Hadith that has someone engaged in sex with children as a prophet. The other books did not have this. However this is an interesting book that merits further discussion.
Yeh you are right on the fact the quran says its a prophet who engaged in it. Gives the message that allah defiantly encourages it because if the prophet can do it and he is supposed to show how to live the perfect life then it begs alot of questions.
If I ever believed in god for me it would be without any religious influence and god would be the universe for me. The universe and within it the earth and sun provide everything needed for the earth and life itself to come into being. God would simply be a way of grouping it all together. In a sense perhaps thats what god really is.
