That interview with Nevile was done a while ago, I suspect he has since had his meeting with Levy, not been impressed with Levy`s plan (or lack of), and asked to leave there and then. This will be bad news for us Spurs fans, as it just reaffirms ENIC`s lack of ambition to be successful on the pitch.
I still haven't watched that video, but it's clear that it was filmed fairly recently and that this is where the Kane leaving narrative sprang from. Really ****ty from Kane and we should treat Neville the way that he deserves to be treated. He's still working for Utd.
I have just watched it - I just thought he was very honest, doesn't say he is leaving or necessarily wants to leave just that he wants to have a conversation with Levy. He doesn't have a dig at the club or the players, he sets himself ridiculous targets (mentioning Ronaldo & Messi), and we are not coming close to helping him achieve them we all know that. I would say that the timing is awful, but if this is skys source it doesn't really hold the water that they are pouring through it.
Thats the thing with Gomes, on his day world class pulling off world class saves. Always prone to the worst of clangers though. I think you are better off with a more consistent keeper than one that throws a clanger every 5 games purely because i think having a dodgy keeper who can be world class affects the confidence of the defence if they don't fully trust him.
Yeah Gomes was a weird one. Save a penalty or a 30 yard pile driver? No problem. Catch a simple cross? Whoa you’re asking too much there.
That's what happened. Redknapp replaced him with Friedel, then we brought in Lloris to replace his replacement.
It's really poor...but we don't know what may have led up to this. In all his time with us, Kane's been the poster boy for club loyalty. In advance of a World Cup, where he was England captain, he signed a SIX year contract with the club (the poor ****er)...little did he know how badly things were going to fall apart The club's in the ****ing toilet and Levy's response is to put out a begging letter to those who pay pay their hard earned for this ****, so that he can keep running the thing into the ground....and you just know that nothing will change if he gets away with it. I can't see how anyone can be disappointed in the fact that he wants to go somewhere else....
That doesn't mean that he should do this kind of **** while allowing his form to drop off a cliff. He got injured again, rushed back again and has been extremely half-arsed since his return, including utterly disappearing in another cup final. At least show enough respect for the fans to finish the season before acting the **** or doing **** like this. We should also report Gary Neville to the FA for tapping up one of our players. He owns a club. Nice to see Salford start the season with a 20 point deduction. He filmed the evidence.
I think Neville’s analysis as a pundit is often spot on in terms of tactics and on-pitch stuff. His stance on the ESL was also admirable, though it did feel a bit like self-centered grandstanding at times. I’ve got no time for everything else he does though. He’s so obviously connected to his other interests, including United, that we shouldn’t be letting him near our players.
Nobody's fining Sky's No1 analyst. Frankly, if he wants out, I prefer Kane to make it known now. He's got England duty coming up, where he won't want to be addressing this. He's said what needs to be said and the club needs to deal with the ****ing mess it's in. He's now too good for us and that's just a fact that the club and its fans have to accept. Say the truth and shame the devil. I've no problem with that....I've more problem with Levy's snivelling end of season message.
A bit picky...but okay, wrong tense...."would have preferred". Better now than going on strike in the last week of the window and us loaning in Frazier 'Bloody' Campbell again.
I have the same reaction, though it's absolutely nothing to do with his hair. It just reminds me of him smiling after letting goals in. The prick.
I don’t share your dislike of Gary Nev, but on this one I do agree with you. I very much doubt if there was not a “tapping up” tactic at play here. That’s cheap behaviour from Neville.
