    If 30, 31, 32, 34 and 37 are hexadecimal then they represent 0,1, 2 ,4 and 7 on a computer.

That may be so but I'm looking for a more interesting answer.

As a clue, the numbers 31 and 32 could possibly change by the end of next week, but the others can't change.

No - but you are getting close. Just need to think a bit more widely.

It certainly does involve Watford - to their credit. And four other clubs.

No - one of the others couldn't be promoted, one can't be but two others may still be.

Yes. The numbers represent the number of goals conceded by the meanest defence in each the top five divisions in England in this current season.
    Watford 30
    Stockport 31
    Man City 32
    Salford 34
    Blackpool 37

As their season hasn't finished yet, both Stockport and Man City could concede more - but no team can take over our title of Meanest Defence of the Year.

    Over to you.

Considering that we are supposed to be awful at defending set pieces (and in the case of the late 'Boro equaliser , my fears when we gave the free kick away were justified) I find that the most extraordinary statistic. Although most people credit Ivic with setting out our defensive stall, much credit is also due to Xisco ,first for promoting Sierralta, then for continuing with the meanness. Ivic conceded 15 goals in his 20 games, (league only) Xisco 15 in his 26.

Similarly with numbers: what is the significance of 8,023 and 12,262?

Given that Google is always correct, this is something to do with the sale of a house in Michigan, USA. Now to find the link...

That'll do. Yes 8km is th new deep sea drill depth record in the Japan Trench taking 37m of sediment to study the earthquake off Fukushima.
12km+ is the land depth record set in Siberia.
    All yours.
