At least 40 possibly 42 points will be needed to avoid relegation. Sir Nial and Ellis missed a historic opportunity to cement a European spot by not refusing Darren Bent's request or not insisting that Villa should pay all the money up front enabling a striker to be brought in. I am now looking down to the bottom few teams who are only ten points behind. However much we play good football we have no one on the bench to make a difference up front in the last few minutes - dare I say it a tall striker like Jones.
.........but coming back to our bench soon are welbeck and campbell. think before you type, we will not be close to relegation this season.
Glad Judas and Jones gone, SAFC biggeer than both, Jones is not having a good season, head turned by the pool, and he believed it, more fool him, as for the other one,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,WHO ARE YA,
BITBURGER....................alas no more, got to make do with my last four litres of Bacardi, one litre of lambs, till shopping on monday.ENJOY.
I think you are spot on with " At least 40 possibly 42 points will be needed to avoid relegation" But that's about it. Watch some other teams below us - they don't have our quality, or potential. I think it will be an almighty scrap for WWW & W... Please KTF mate, KTF
A tall what like Jones? Gyan only came on stream in October and he's already scored more than Jones did in a season. We hear a lot about his knock-downs for Bent, but not so much about the passes slipped through by Bent only to see Jones blast them anywhere but on target. The guy couldn't hit a barn door with a Sherman tank! There are many ways to describe Kenwyne. But 'striker' surely to god isn't one of them.
Why the hell would we need Judas. He's been pants for ages. Bãnt played for Villa (before being hauled off after 55 mins) yesterday against Blackpool. They could only draw against a team who have lost their last five. Bãnt didn't score. Enough said.
Mathematically, I believe Man U could be still relegated, albeit on GD, so anything is still possible. In this regard, you are spot on that SAFC could be relegated. In all other aspects, I don't believe you are correct
Seriously, piss off. 'Relegation a threat'? Do you seriously think that there are enough teams below us that will manage to superceed our current points tally? We would have to lose every game from now till the end of the season. This thread is obviously a wind up, and if it isnt then the author is a total mug.
Bollocks! Keep the faith. It is possible we could get relegated, but the whole 'magic 40 points' thing is completely irrelevant. To get relegated we need at least eleven teams to make up as much as 10 points in eleven games. Where are these clubs going to get their points from? Most of their games will be against each other. And when they play each other, they can't both win. So basically to relegate us the clubs below us will have to do something unbelievable like draw every single game for the rest of the season, and/or take a ridiculous number of points from the top 6, or rig it so that the wins come out exactly right. It's not impossible, but it's crazy to think in these terms. We've had a brilliant season so far. Slight wobble now, but then we've had some very tough games. Anyone talking about relegation is a wum or a complete lightweight.
Are all the ****ing idiots expats are something? Does watching the game on your computer turn you into a mentalist?
Wake up and smell the coffee You cant win them all, and i was delighted with the way we played good passing, this is the best Ive seen us play this season and in my lifetime. We are utterly different now to the old dross, and just need the time to gel a bit better, cant wait for the 2 strikers to get back, with the run in we have to the end of the season i think we could be unstoppable. I was really impressed with Sess when he is up to speed he will be superb, and Sulli need to get a bit more match fit but now i have a big smile on my face, thinking of the delights to come and YES we can play proper football now.
Kenwynne Jones 2-0 Portsmouth, remember that day? He made Sol Campbell look like a schoolgirl - where did that lively mercurial matchwinner go???
