Should GD come into play we will be well ahead. We are already 1 goal ahead and should we win tomorrow (by at least 1 goal) then it will be 2 g. Which means that on final day Leicester have to score at least 3 goals against Spurs if we win our game even by 1-0.

A Leicester win would have allowed us room for a draw

I think a draw or Leic win would have been ideal but even a Chelsea win has its positives. Regardless, we need to win both games and if we can get a big tonight, then it helps massively in terms of goal difference.

Getting the win tonight is crucial because it puts more pressure on Chelsea and Leic - both of whom still have 1 more tricky game left where I can see both of them slipping up.

The win puts us in 4th on the last day.

This is all moot of course if we let a sloppy goal in in the first 10mins.

All that matters today is the win.

Chelsea win was the only result that meant 2 wins for us doesn’t technically guarantee top 4 that was all really.

We just need to win tonight by any margin. Then we need to win by a bigger margin (-x) than Leicester. Simple.

no guarantee we will win both games and based on last night, there’s no guarantee that Leicester can beat Spurs.

No. we just need to match Leicester’s result. If they lose we can afford to lose. Our gd will already be better than theirs.

If we beat Palace 7-0 again, then goal difference shouldn't be an issue.

But they might want revenge for that result.

At least Leicester aren't playing Soton on the last day.

    I think I said there’s no guarantees <ok>

Either way, ‘matching’ the result is not the mindset I’d want to install. Win at all costs. Score as many and concede as few. Then we will see....

I'm surprised there hasn't really been a big deal made of Wernerdona's handball celebration.

we can only get what we get. The team is very mixed in desire, fitness and ability. if trent happens to get the ball in the right area and can find salah in the right area we can score. We lack shooting ability in general, we are struggling from other areas but amazingly have scored a few set piece goals over the last few games.

Who knows, maybe we will get lucky

    Why?

    He'll play (if fit)
    1) he wants the golden boot
    2) doesn't want to leave on a poor note, better to go out playing
    3) Spurs still think they can convince him to stay.

Levy putting him in his place?

All of the above are kanes reasons for playing and totally fair. My question is what will levy do?

    Question is moot. Kane starts.

    Alli and son start too.

Levy was talking earlier about how ambitious Spurs want to be. Imo he's trying to convince Kane that if he stays they'll buy to win stuff and appoint a manager to match this. Wont happen, the buying part that is.

Levy knows that Kane is the most important player for Spurs and without him they'll end up like Arsenal (post new stadium, see the similarities). He also knows that the market is way down this summer, that he'll either have to accept a lower price for Kane or have to force Kane to stay.

Kane will play the last two games cause Spurs are going to do what they can to keep him happy and thus make him reconsider.

Plus, Levy doesn't pick the team and Mason isn't getting the top job anyway, so Mason will pick him.

I'll realise its moot now but Kane was always going to play. They want him to stay, stopping would only push him further away
