Such an easy thing but it’s so effective. He’s become a proper leader of this team in the last 3/4 years and you almost miss that part of his game more when he’s not playing than his actual ability on the pitch. He’s not the most talented player in the world but he’s made himself invaluable to this club over that time. Brilliant captain, and in terms of leadership seems to be even more captain material than gerrard who never seemed the most talkative. Almost lead by footballing ability rather than vocal leadership.
Was fascinated listening to that tbh. Obviously you expect that from a captain, shouting, intrsructing, encouraging. Love to see a vid of all the prem captains doing this in games tbh just to compare
