My thought exactly, he obviously has been struggling, and we fans are quick to jump on a player's back when we don't know what is going on privately.
That Peterborough loan goalkeeper has joined Lincoln on loan for their game tonight. He could get promoted twice in a season. I don’t agree with this loan ruling. They must have another keeper at some eligible age to play?

Football wise maybe, maybe not (the PL could anyway immediately loan him back out), but not money wise. If you are a player, you take it while you can. Daft not to. Unfortunately it's just how it is and there's no point us kidding ourselves with sayings like "he'd be better off having a season or two in the Championship".
How often do we see young players go to PL teams to sit on a bench and end up dropping down to a lower level, or wasting 2-3 seasons picking up splinters. He’s better off continuing his football education.
Totally agree but I also agree with the other point of view. It shouldn’t be about the money but more often it is, the player that wants to really push himself and try and and get to a top level is never about the money, in truth players in the top two leagues are paid very well.
All the best to the lad, personally think he's a good shot stopper, but never really rated him, doesn't command his penalty box enough for me.
It's a really good move for him. Obviously being a no.2 in the championship must be more lucrative than being a no.1 in L1. Expect Burke will officially join him out the door shortly and it's good to see us being ruthless
Can't blame anybody for chasing the money. Look at Odubajo, he would have been vital for us in the PL and looked brilliant. Had a few awful injuries and couldn't get back to anywhere near the level he was. He should be in his prime at 27 but instead, he's just become a L1 player. The career is short and unpredictable, you can't blame anyone for grabbing the money if it's there.
I agree with what you say but a lower league footballer can still get a few thousand a week, more than you or me can earn in a lifetime. If you sat at the end of your career and were more bothered about how much you earned than how far you got in the game I personally think is sad but it’s just my opinion. I write for the love of it and would literally give my left bollock to create something special, not for the cash or even the fame but for something I’ll leave behind. Memories are worth far more than money imho.
I think the comings and goings at the club wile dictated by the business model. If they get offered silly money for Wilkes they will take it...
So we’ll probably need a back up keeper? Or do we have a time share in Bursik like Peterborough and Lincoln?
I agree with you but when those young players go to a PL team every single one of them will be convinced they'll be breaking straight into the first team and starting a dizzying assent to glory. I don't think many will not be backing themselves for success...however unlikely it actually is.
