I was unsuccessful in getting a Spurs ticket. Hopefully get first choice next season.

If the United game gets called off again, they should be deducted at least 10 points for this season.

Can’t see Liverpool not cleaning up in their last 3 now, easiest games they could have and they are used to these situations.
Feels like it is Chelsea we need to stay above now. 4 points needed from these last two or 3 if we win at Chelsea.
Tbh back to back 5th place finishes would be a great achievement anyway, but as per last year, if that is where we finish, I just wish we hadn’t done it by sitting in the top 4 all season only to drop out right at the last...

Yeah, were beginning to attract the sort of banter we could do without and which should be reserved for Spurs. :bandit:

The first game I was ever taken to, was the 1969 FA Cup Final against Man City, so you can only imagine how I feel right now!

Top class respective winning contributions from Kasper and Youri! I do wonder when opposition defenders will realise not to back off a rampaging Tielemans! 3 goals come to mind just in recent months, Arsenal at home, Man Utd QF and yesterday where he has made mugs of 3 of the so called ‘ESL elite’ defences backing off him. He has world class ability to pick his spot out!
I thought the changes made by Rodgers were absolutely the right ones and needed but I said to my wife that we really needed to see it through in the 90. I did wonder where we were getting another goal from had Chelsea equalised but it paid off and fantastic for Rodgers and the players.
So pleased for Top and for all us fans but especially those who have seen us lose all those finals!

The 'Foxes Never Quit' tag is still with this team after all. Just a brilliant day for a brilliant owner, manager, team and set of fans. The memories of yesterday's match will never die. We have a club to be proud of, both on and off the pitch. Kasper is a true legend, not only as a great goalkeeper but also as a great man. He handled himself like a real captain and gentleman. A privilege to have someone like that leading the team. Youri has now confirmed himself as Kevin de Bruyne's equal. Defensively he is better than De Bruyne. He must be at the point of exhaustion after all the games he has played in a short space of time. Hope he can keep doing it for the last two. Nearly there, boys.

Genuine question here and not a dig... what does Perez offer?

Not sure he’s ever really fit in - in any position - here. He works hard but surely that’s not enough at this level

Of all the people for that chance to fall to last night he'd be about the last one I'd pick. 12 yards out in the middle of the goal with a rolling ball and he balloons it. Top four is out of our hands now.

I simply cannot understand how Perez started or finished that match last night, or any of his last 5 appearances for that matter. He isn't creative and he can't defend. What does Rodgers see in him that no one else does? Putting Praet in for the last game (however unlikely) would be massively unfair on him as he will be nowhere near match fit, but at least he will be fresher than many of the team are looking at the moment. The only other player you wouldn't have wanted that chance to fall to was Wilf. The ball would have ended up in the car park. Surely Maddison is still carrying an injury. He's now way off the pace and nowhere near Mason Mount in the England set up.

After our incredible season, I hate to have a bit of a moan about last night.......but I will!!

After the first 10 minutes, I feared the worst. But, we dug in and stayed in the game during the first half. Not sure how they didn't get a penalty in the first half and more bizzarely, how the hell did we get the free kick?!!!!!

Our front 3 never got a kick in the first half and we are far too lightweight playing Maddison AND Perez.

Has Praet been playing hide trhe sausage with Brenda's wife or something? I just don't understand how he hasn't had any game time recently!!!!

All in all, we didn't deserve anything from the game and as stated above, what a chance Perez had to get us an unlikely and undeserved point.

I feel there is another twist to the season, but Liverpool will need to drop points tonight for us to have a real chance of claiming a top 4 spot.

I know we all said we would take an FA Cup win over Champions League, but we are so close to achieving both, it will just put a dampner on the season if we fail at the final hurdle.......again!!!!

My only guess is that we’ll be selling Praet in the summer so we’re avoiding him picking up an injury. Maddison and Perez have offered very little in the last few weeks.

Last night should almost have been an irrelevance. A top 4 finish would have been all but guaranteed if we'd beaten Southampton and Newcastle. We rode our luck last night and I was convinced that, if we got to half time level, we would come good in the second half. But that double slip by Thomas to give away the corner so soon after the restart came out of nowhere and proved to be our undoing, and the penalty was very soft but careless. The whole team is now looking exhausted and we haven't done sufficient in squad rotation to give some of them a break. It's been a full-on hectic season and it's highlighted the fact that we are weak in some areas of the pitch when we get long term injuries. It will be disappointing if we don't manage a top 4 finish. People may say we didn't deserve anything last night but, at the end of the day it's about whether your opponents have enough to score more than you, and for all the chances they created and wasted unfortunately we gifted them both of their goals.

Completely expected that last night, it’s often the case that playing the same team in cup and league consecutively sees results shared across the two. Especially when one team has a fraction of the budget of the other. We won the one that mattered to the fans!
It was another one of those games (of which there is too many) where we just didn’t turn up. Strange selection choices with Perez again but ultimately, we’re still missing 3 key players for us and have had to adapt the entire way we play due to the loss of Barnes (which in itself rings alarms bells). As well as that we are carrying so many players that have not come back well form injury or aren’t fit. Those playing anywhere near their level can be limited to Kasper, Fofana, Ndidi, Tielemans and Iheanacho. Oh and Thomas but hard to judge a young kid but he’s been decent. Maybe a bit harsh on Castagne as he has been put at CB!
As has been said, now out of our hands. Can’t see Liverpool or Chelsea dropping points now, they have the know how. Just hope they approach Sunday to enjoy it back in front of fans at the KP for the first time since last March and win it. If that ends up being enough then awesome, if not 5th and the cup win is improvement (increased the points total even finishing 5th) and there’s been strong competition just behind us. I just want to see us work on our weaknesses such as set pieces and starting games faster and not starting to play when a few goals behind next season!

If we don't qualify it has nothing to do with this game but more, without being disrespectful, to the home losses against Fulham, Newcastle and others. Injuries certainly haven't helped our cause this season as it didn't last and I cant help thinking this all started after we got rid of David Rennie. One moan about the Chelsea game, I hope Perez watched Firmino slot a ball from 18 yards.

I think it is very easy to say we would be in the top 4 if we hadn't lost to Fulham, Newcastle etc, as on the other side of the coin, it was a bonus we beat Mann City, Man Utd etc on the road. It's swings and roundabouts for me.

What ever happens, it's been another great season for a Foxes fan. We are living the dream.

It wasn't too long ago we used to sit in the stands a complete nervous wreck with 3 games to go trying to avoid relegation. We used to say we wish we had nothing to play for, just to ease the nerves.

But hopefully we have moved forward on that respect and for me, 5th place and an FA Cup winners medal will do.

But...........it isn't over yet. I fancy Villa getting point against Chelsea. We just need to win our game and hope.......
