http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/adam-pinpoints-key-to-utd-win Charlie Adam believes the team that dominates midfield will prevail when millions of viewers around the world tune in to watch Liverpool clash with Manchester United on Saturday. Adam will be hoping to start his first encounter against one of our oldest rivals, though with Lucas, Steven Gerrard, Jordan Henderson and others also vying for places, Kenny Dalglish has plenty of options as he seeks to mastermind a fourth straight home victory over Manchester United for the club. Tom Cleverley, Michael Carrick, Anderson and Darren Fletcher are some of the names they will be up against - and Adam thinks those who gain control in the centre will lead their team to victory. "The key normally in these games is the midfield," Adam told Liverpoolfc.tv. "If you can get a grip of the game in midfield then I think you can win the match. "Over the years gone by we have had some terrific performances, especially last season at Anfield when we beat them. "So the midfield will be key and also you need somebody up front who can score you goals and we have certainly got that. We are confident going into the game and hopefully come Saturday we can get the three points."
it's 2-0 at half time in the u18 clash..... utd's keeper just flogged one to regan and morgan scored as well early on.
its now 2-1 absolutel flog of a back pass ala gerrard <laugH> nick barmby's son fired a cracking shot in after latching o nthough.. good finish.
first blood of the weekend to liverpool then... not that it matter much. 2-1 to the u18s. decent game, evenly matched sides more or less too. so the latest crops for both sides can be relatively happy at that. now for the main event.

Any guesses at the team anyone? Probably harder than ever with everyone being fit, Carroll looking better and scoring, Henderson having missed his first match last time around.
The way I see this game panning out is - Whoever scores the most goals will win. If an equal amount of goals or no goals are scored it will be a draw. Complicated I know, but that is the reality of it.
That wont happen because no-one will be on the pitch to take the penalty. Also no-one would be on the pitch to commit the foul. There is only three possible outcomes for both teams (I have spent the day doing the maths) - Win, Lose, and Draw.
Two players left one goes over the top and gets sent off the other goes off injured. on a lighter not,im hoping for 2-1 but i think it'll be a draw.
You're both dickheads. Each team has to have a minimum of 7 players on the pitch or the match is abondoned.
This is a but a fun scenario dave,if i was serious i would now be hanging from the yard arm of your ship.
Now you're being very very silly. They couldn't take the penalty because neither of them are registered players. Do I have to educate EVERYBODY on this forum
