Does anybody else skim read the first couple of sentences of Fosse’s posts and then just ignore the rest ?
I was exactly the same as you when the idea of a new ground was put forward, new location around two miles away, plans and everything done. After speaking to supporters I sort of came round to the idea begrudginly, but my main concerns were, finances putting a rope round the neck of the club and secondly it becoming a sterile location, much like Oxford. The positives were that the pub and eating places were adjacent, but that normally brings with it a heavy price on our pockets. They say transport would be easier because they were considering a halt, which would be good IF they did.
Indeed it is ... but the current ownership (and Mandaric before that) had nothing to do with the financial mismanagement that put us into administration ... happy to clarify.
Yep. Didn’t pay the final amount. Roughly 5 million quid. A lot of local trades where never paid. Family club though or something.
