Gonna be an interesting last 7 days re top 4.

If Liverpool win both their games either Leicester or Chelsea drop out after both looked nailed on.
It will be, but I do think we'll **** it up still in our two games left. Could be heartbreak or joy like you say its exciting but I'd rather not go through it <laugh>

Im just hoping lestah or the chavs lose/ draw the game they're not playing each other :emoticon-0107-sweat

Be a bloody miracle if we do imo

Gotta win the next two to guarantee it. It’s now in our hands as our GD is miles better than West Ham’s but any of West Ham, Everton and Arsenal can still finish above us if they win their games and we fluff ours.
Fukin ell lots of last day fukeries to come still I think.<laugh>

Can't wait to get this season in the bin anyways whatever happens come the end. :bandit:

What happens if Spurs finish 7th?

Would that mean Europa or does it mean the new conference league thingy?

Ive not even looked at this conference thing.

Sounds a bit inter toto-y

Yeah it’s basically the third tier European competition after the CL and EL. I see the plus points for lower nations’ clubs to have a chance of experiencing some form of European footy but teams in England/ Spain/ Germany will likely just field their youth for most of it.

Yeh just reading about it and I like the chance for smaller nations and teams getting a taste of Europe, even teams that come up over here and sneak 7th one year could Relish that tbh.

For some tho like us it's just a season of being laughed at <laugh>

Specially if it turns out you are not good enough to win it <whistle>
It'll depend on the team in it how serious its taken obviously.

If Leeds for example got it this season after coming up I reckon they'd proper go for it.

Most of the top prem teams would play u23s until the semis or final even.

I wouldnt care much until the qtrs then I'd want us to win it like anything else.

Watched that Liverpool goal on MOTD2 and still not sure. The WBA player does seem to be standing in front of the keeper in an offside position, but does it make a difference that the guy that scored wasn't the guy that won the header when the keeper's vision was (allegedly) obscured? To put it in terms of the horrible offisde law, was it a different 'phase of play'? The guy that scored wasn't obscured by another player. Not sure what the rules are here.

He is committing an offence if he is "preventing an opponent from playing or being able to play the ball by clearly obstructing the opponent’s line of vision".
If the on field call is that he was then it has to be a clear and obvious error for VaR to overturn it as it is not a factual decision. I think VaR would not have overturned the opposite decision either.

The free kick that (eventually) led to the equaliser was a disgrace. Mike Dean giving Liverpool a free kick for colliding with a player is not the law and effectively changed the game. May well have scored anyway but may not.

There is no surprise they are trying their best to get Pool into the CL, years ago they even changed the rules to allow the Dippers to defend their CL title after they failed to qualify through league position.
