True, i have gone for 220 for the whole race just to be safe in case it doesn rain for quite a few laps and the tyres end up getting destroyed before fuel runs out. Looking forward to see how it plays out.
So thats Quali all locked in, how did everyone do? I've qualified 17th out of 23, which I'm reasonably happy with, seeing as I had by far the worst driver on the grid for quali!
Start P6, on rain tyres so I will drop back loads until it starts to rain, which hopefully should be in the first few laps.
Starting in a poor 24th with my random bad driver, as i couldnt afford to place bids . Heres hoping for a strange race, At least i have a good wet setup.
Sorry guys my internet have been down so i am currently stealing my neighbors and the signal is extremely week so i lose it all the time. Should have internet up on monday - tuesday again. I managed to connect and qualify just intime, but unfortunately i didnt have time to think much or set up the car properly. Startin from 14th with Extra Soft 50L and not pitting for changing weathers. Fueling 80 80 0 0 0 Was just a quick sollution because i was afraid to lose internet again. I shouldn't end in the points with my setup. Good luck everyone. @Tezcat I invited you to our private not606 GPRO group here in the forum where we share more sensitive data. its always a bad sign when your're the only runner in the top 10 starting on wet tyres...oh boy this should be interesting
down from p4 to p21, now its raining and im up to p1 with the fastest lap on full wet set up, what a gamble
Yeah!! Rain. Now this is where I will find out if my low fuel strategy will work out. Hopefully it will be a two stopper but I suspect others will one stop which means I will have to make up the extra pitstop in pace. Currently second but lapping the fastest. EDIT: Now first and lapping 2 secs quicker a lap than anyone else, so I need to pull out a pitstop length gap before pitting.
good job, wish i went for a 1 stop now of 90 90, gotta a feeling a few people on my group are on this, oh well cant have it all, i would be happy with a podium. Though i'm hoping the track goes dry for a few laps then wet again to catch a few out.
Yeah I think one stopping is going to be the best strategy. I stopped on lap 18 and came out second, currently 27secs behind first who I think is one stopping. I have been the fastest driver on practically every lap so I will be disappointed if I do not get a podium. I have a feeling though that this race is going to sucker punch me near the end again.
Fuel is suddenly looking very tight for a wet track, gotta do 18 laps on 76lts, dont think that will last
I have pitted for my second time and retained 1st but I think I am going to run our of fuel one lap from the end which will probably lose me the race unless the guy second pits again or something.
Well that is my race ruined. I did not want to win anyway...................................... Screw that, rain again .
So, how did everyone do? I finished 6th, most of the race I was 4th. The rain on the last 2 laps cost me 2 places. Still not too bad, so OK race for me. I still want the next race to be either 100% wet or 100% dry.
I won . I was leading for pretty much the entire race and was over 2 mins ahead of 3rd place, then when it stopped raining I slipped down to 2nd but then reclaimed 1st when it rained again.
