The "quote boxes within quote boxes" tend to only be done by people using the Iphone/Android apps. For some reason, it does that automatically. You can also tell because it has the post number after the "Originally Posted by thefanwithnoname" bit. You can still do it on your desktop/laptop though. You'd just click the "+ symbol on the first post you want to quote, then click the "Reply With Quote on the next post you want to quote. You'll then see both in your reply box. Then cut and paste one into the other if you see what I mean.
You can manually manipulate it, though. I.e. (using curly brackets instead of square) {quote=Frank}{quote=Bob} What Bob said{/quote} What Frank said{/quote} Looks like:
